I had this beer on tap at the Alchemist Pub & Brewery in July 2010.

It poured a very clear light golden color and was served in a pint glass.

It smelled both grassy and with a fruity aroma.

This beer was crisp, hoppy, and you could definitely drink more than one in a session.

If you have the opportunity to do so, I recommend trying this beer.

A = Clear golden with mild head but tons of retention.

S = Sweet and grassy smell. An awesome lawnmower ride

T = Hits malty sweet at first with some herbal flavors, fades into a crisp spicy hop. Really a complex beer.

M = Tons of full mouthfeel but still manages to finish very dry.

D = Drink Drink Drink and Drink some more... watch out for the seven percent abv

One of the best pilsners ive had.

Pours a beautiful bright yellow color into a pilsner glass. Thin white head fades fast.

Aroma is full of malt that is slightly bread-like and sweet. Crisp and inviting.

Taste is ful of crisp malt with just the right amount of bitterness. A bit dry as well. Goes down well.

Mouthfeel is probably the best part. Bitter and leaves the tongue wanting more. I bet your momma don't drink as well as this!

So good, I want another. The best fresh example of this style that I've had.

On tap poured Into a 12oz stemmed pilsner glass.

Pours a very clear and light yellow with almost no head at all, light white clingy lacing looks real nice. Nose is hoppy and fresh with a very light malt sweetness.

Taste is awesome, one of my favorite pilsners, hoppy and crisp. It's super drinkable an very fruity but

On tap @ the brewpub on 7/16/10. Served in a Pils glass.

Pours a beautiful looking crystal clear gold, capped with a finger of tight bright-white head. This retains with a thinner, yet still cream retention, which drenches the sides of the glass with thick swathes of heavy lacing. Those Noble hops just pop here in the aroma, being grassy and spicy, with bright notes of earthy citrus standing tall in the nose. The earth and citrus mixes with the bready sweetness of the malts to impart a sharp tang in the back of the nostrils.

Hops are fresh and biting in the taste, with spice, grapefruit rind, and green feeling citrus all laying a steady zesty bitterness down on the tongue. This is well balanced however by a tight feeling backbone of lightly toasted grainy sweetness from those Pils malts. This finishes deeply dry and spicy with notes of lingering earthy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a very crisp, yet still ridiculously smooth feel across the palate (especially for 7%!) and this stays overall clean feeling throughout.

Ales or Lagers, John rocks them em' all here! This was a VERY strong take on a German Pils, with a well balanced aggressive hop profile and an easy drinking crisp and clean body. They were also serving this the next day at the Vermont Brewer's Festival and several samples helped battle the nearly 90 degree heat. Great stuff!
