Cloudy yellow, puffy white head.

Prominent lemon, bread.

Clean, subdued lemon poppy muffin. Fruit and citric notes are smooth like that. Not so peppery, and for that not a unique profile, but a fine example of the style. That said, could stand to dial up the sweetness. As good as saisons come, to be enjoyed outdoors.

Highly carbonated like it's supposed to be.

Poured into 12 oz tulip. Bottle aged 1+ year.

Pours with a huge bright white head. Bright golden, crystal clear in color. Lots of carbonation. You can see the bottle conditioning is still working away in this beer. Tight, sporadic lacing.

Aroma is prominent barnyard funk with grass, grain, straw and slight lemon characteristic.

Taste is not quite as funky as smell. Slightly sweet with mild hop presence, lemon, grassy and underlying citrus. Funk fades slightly with more lemon and fruit flavors as it warms.

Mouthfeel is light and spritzy. Extremely drinkable.

This beer has developed beautifully over the past year. Easily one of the best saisons I've had this year. Rivals some of my all time favorites from Fantome. I want more.

A: Pours a hazed golden color with a huge fluffy white head. Pretty great retention and a ton of sticky lace left behind with each sip. Tons of visible carbonation in the glass.

S: Dusty and grassy with an underlying grainy sweetness and a touch of clove. Maybe a hint of ginger, lemon meringue and green apple.

T: Cracked black pepper and earthy malt throughout with just a hint of clove and baked apple poking through. Grassy hops, dusty earth, a touch of funk and some white pepper on the finish. Pretty clean and finishes up very dry. Not the best out there, but a pretty tasty saison.
