Thanks to Jason for sharing this one. Served in a Cigar City snifter.

A - A thin white foam settles to a thin ring and no lace. Hazy dark peach body.

S - Smell is great! Delicious lactic notes, tropical brett, oaky vanilla, white wine, and perhaps a touch of farmhouse yeast peaking through. Didn't know what Sauternes was, but apparently it's a wild wine made with partially dried grapes.

T - Taste is again very vinous, with some mild oak, and funky brett present. Peppery yeast finish. Doesn't have the intensity of the aroma, but it's still largely enjoyable.

M - Medium bodied, moderate-to-low carbonation, and a very weird body that starts out tannic and dry and finishes somewhat sticky - the exact opposite of what I'd expect.

D - It's a good beer, but unfortunately the taste doesn't live up to the awesome nose. I'd rather have the Saison Lambic Pinot Noir, but I wouldn't turn this down if it shown up at a future tasting.

The beer is copper amber colored, clear, has a small off-white head, little lacing but some curtains.

The smell is fruity, raisins and dried apples, vinous, Madeira, sour, vinegar, and a yeasty spiciness.

Starting with dates and figs, then sherry and port wine, some vinegar and spices, clove and ginger. Cherry seeds and yeast.

Low carbonation, very small bubbles, a complex body, some alcohol feeling, a dry sourness.

I lack something, maybe a bit maltiness, a bit uneven and too yeasty.

A one-of-a-kind, thanks Svend. Farmhouse and sweet spice aroma, pinkish tinge to body, with cask-like foam head. Its all in the taste, the brett, the other bacteria, some wild yeast, spices. Didn't floor me, maybe more inetgration of elements as it ages (9 years to go after 1 ged)however I was getting different taste spectrums in the courses of supper and so it hit its objective.A little sur in finish.

This seems a bit tight to me, really. Interesting sour tones with a sweet tone that I assume comes from the wine. But it just seems like too much packed together. There are some wood and vanilla tones, but this hasn't really opened up IMO. It's nice, yes. But I am wondering what some age will do to it. Also, where's the brett and lacto? I am not really getting it here. I have to wonder if the wood aging with sauternes in the mix is congesting it and holding it back. But like I said, still nice to drink.
