This is a blend of mead and beer made with wildflower honey that spent two years in wine barrels with Brettanomyces.
A: Ruddy yellow brown with a fast fading bubbly head.
S: Light leather with notes of grape, plum, and brown sugar. The honey really comes through. There's a little leather and some oak.
T: Lightly tart up front and somewhat leathery with notes of oak and a firm booze presence. Sweet honey melds with soft vinous notes: plum and grape. The beer finishes sweet with honey, brown sugar, and drying oak.
M: Medium body with upper low carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth and sticky with much warming on the palate.
Overall: Unique and enjoyable with a great honey presence.
