Seeked this place out for at least one beer while I was in Copenhagen. I was staying in the Norrebro neighbourhood so getting here was just a short walk I had no reason not to do. From notes.
I noticed alot of candles in this very modern looking brewpub. There were lot's of TVs showing football and music playing which was thankfully Kings of Leon, points. Modern looking tables and chairs were cool.
The brewhouse was very visible and nice to look at. The staff were helpful and friendly and the bartender was able to suggest things depending on my tastes.
There were lot's of books around to browse through, mostly about beer and the prices seemed fair for Copenhagen. They had about 8-10 beers on tap and it seemed like a number in bottles including non-Norrebro beers. While the two beers I had were nothing to gawk at, they were alright and good to try.
If you're in Copenhagen this should by no means be your first beer-related stop. But stop in if you're in the neighbourhood and thirsty, otherwise get your ass to Mikkeller or Ol Bar.

Most everything seemed to be closed on new year's eve day, but we found Nørrebro Bryghus open for lunch. I've had a bottle of their brew at home from the Four Firkins and a draft of Julebryg, a Christmas beer, earlier in the week with dinner at RizRaz, a vegetarian buffet.
Nørrbro has clean, industrial chic lines and decor that are elegant and cozy for a brewpub. While there, we saw a range of clientele with a party of kids in the downstairs restaurant and two older couples next to us with beers and shots of vodka (sipped lightly), providing an open, accepting environment even though it feels upscale.
Limited menu with chef choices for the day. The waiter said he would be back when I said I'm a vegetarian who eats fish. They changed the day's smørrebrød menu to match my diet, which was appreciated since Ian had been trying get me this traditional Danish open sandwich on butter rye bread all weekend. However, smørrebrød tends to be heavily laden with meat, so getting a veggie and fish option was fun. For me, the guessed the salmon would be a bit strong for me, so I enjoyed it first. The second was Christmas herring and eggs, which was my second divine encounter with this combination. The final sandwich was potato with tomato, onion, and a white sauce, and it ran a close second to the herring.
Not interested in their lagers and having had the red or Christmas beer already this trip, we ordered the two we hadn't tried yet: Molasses, a stout, and Stjernestund, a Belgian Dubbel. Molasses had a significant molasses and roast flavor, but a thin body for a stout. The Dubbel was vaguely Belgian and dark, but not a beer I'd order again. Overall, Nørrebro Bryghus has an charming atmosphere and an elegant lunch, but the beer was adequate at best.

I stopped here during my Scandinavia tour stop in Copenhagen as a few locals said it was the best place to have a beer. Strode along the lake region to find it, young hip neighborhood, a little difficult to find.
A few tables outside, when you get in there are two floors, a restaurant floor with more dining options and a bar floor with snacks. Decor is cool, the equipment is on the left when you walk in right in view, downside is traditional bar, upstaris is nicer. As has been noted they do seem to like bright colors, but that's cool. We opted for lunch in the restaurant section. They had 10 beers on tap, included a few limited selections. I had the Chef's Lunch, 3 different Smorebrod sandwiches, 3 beer pairings, and a chocolate dessert.
Beers included the Wit, a Red Ale, and a Porter. All were great, good representations of the style, the Porter was a true standout.
All food was wonderful, sandwiches hit the spot and the dessert was really great. Wife had the same thing and also enjoyed.
Service was pretty good, they were busy but I felt they did a good job making sure we had what we needed. This plaee is very expensive, but I've just decided this whole region is by American standards.
Overall, a great place, well worth a visit for beer and food, try the Chef's Lunch.

Stop 4 on the pub crawl, a pretty good place to finish. First off inside is hilarious because its all those pansy type colors that are on the bottles, pink, tangerine, weird browns, not putting it down actually like it, just kind of funny. The selection of the beer is decent, just all Norrebro, about 10 taps then a of special release beers that are very good. Our server was very patient as by this time I was little drunk and pushy and kept telling him to impress which he did by pulling out rarer and rarer stuff, like a third of a barrel productions. The beer was good, not great, although a couple were oustanding. The best part about this place is that you can by bottles to go for about one third off, so its worth just going to get bottles.
A stop in Copenhagen for a couple, but mostly buy some special releases for less than they cost to drink there and save them for the trip home.

I trekked up to this place from the main train station as it is one of the few good bars in town serving food at lunch time.
Atmosphere is very nice. Upon walking in the door there's the brewing equipment on the left with a spacious area containing bunch of tables and a few TV's on the right. A relatively small bar listing the drinks sits on the far right wall along with a cooler showcasing the beers available to-go. I remember there being an upstairs but I never made it up there to check it out.
Quality is good. As with most places I visited in Copenhagen the glassware isn't exhaustive but they have a nice cross-section of the standards. Other than that the beers are served at a nice temperature and with proper amounts of head.
Service is very good. The waiters and bartenders were all very friendly and made sure we were taken care of at all time. If they didn't know the answer to a beer question they were sure to ask someone who did.
Selection is good. They had ten standard beers on-tap at all times and between 4-6 seasonals or one-offs when I visited other times. They also had about ten different selections in bottles.
Food is very good. The first time I went for lunch I had smorresbrod (apologies for butchering the language) - open face sandwiches on pumpernickel, and the second time I had beef short ribs and my wife had a giant burger, both were great.
Value is OK - for lunch I thought it was a very good deal, for dinner it was on the expensive side.
Overall I was a fan of this place - a nice place for good food and good beer. Worth a stop.

I was lucky enough to meet up with a fellow BA at this fine establishment while in Copenhagen. Thank you BA!
This is brewpub located in a younger neighborhood, with a diverse group of people. Generally, I felt safe...but it does come across as a bit run down. This brewpub has a hipster feel to it and had an aging hipster clientle the night I was there. It is very well staged, and is comfortable yet stylish.
I had the Imperial IPA and the Schwarz beer. I really liked both of the them. They were not to style, but I don't believe they were intending to brew to style. It would seem that they like to go a bit over the top with their interpretations. However, they are still well executed.
I did not have the food, as frankly the price was too high. They seemed to be going for higher end dining...and I was not in the mood to for an all night affair.
Overall, this place has a nice vibe and great craft beers. I would reccomend it to anyone in or going to Copenhagen. However, if you planning on eating and staying a while, bring your credit card.

This is definitely a more modern brewpub, and had a pretty sleek and spiffy interior. Decor with pops of orange and red amongst a loft-like style setup. Brew kettles are just off to the side of the bar, and second floor seating areas. Pretty nifty setup visually.
About 10 of their own brews on draft, with quite a few guest bottles (Traquair, several Belgians, plus some Mikkeller) in eyesight behind the bar. Had a fridge next to the bar as well where you could buy their bottled brew to go.
Had a chance to sample quite a few brews that they were actually not just yet on draught because of a kind member of their staff. I have to say that there were some exciting things going on in terms of in-house brewing, and I would definitely go back to check out what's going on. Really had a great time at this place, and it would be my first stop recommendation to those visiting Copenhagen.

Nørrebro Bryghus is an absolutely outstanding brewpub. This is like an american style brewpub in terms of beers, a broad spectrum of styles. The beers are very good, particularly the bigger styles, but even the session beers are quite tasty. The atmosphere is very modern and nice. I received some great service here as well. Top notch. From what I remember, the food was good as well, but perhaps a bit pricey. I hit this place 2-3 times in a Copenhagen weekender and I'd really recommend it. Cheers and thanks.
