The other Brouwerij De Bie, Café DHellekapelle. This location in Loker now houses the new larger Bie Brewery, after demand outstripped production; the smaller plant at the Watou-based (original) Café DHellekapelle ceased to operate once production was switched to Loker.
The sign for the new Café DHellekapelle has the upper half of a devil appropriately holding a glass of Duvel & looking down on the Visitors.
The New Brewery Tap has 2 floors; the upstairs can seat well over 50 people. Serves the full range of De Bie beers as well as a select range of other bottled beers including Duvel, Chimay, Brigand, Orval, Rochefort, St. Bernadus, Westmalle, Tripel Karmeliet, this list goes on. On draft there are usually up to 6 regular beers, the best of which is the excellent very hoppy Hommelbier.
Food is served, & the range contains many local Flanders dishes, all are great value.
All in, this a great Beer Bar, & for a couple of Dollars you can arrange to tour the New Brewery that is housed in what used to be a former beer shop. For free, you can visit the Breweries shop, & spend a fortune I did.
The new home of Brouwerij De Bie, a nice place, & a keenly priced Beer Bar. But I still prefer the more characterful original Café DHellekapelle near Watou (which is still open).
