330 ml bottle (exp 09/APR/13 served in Trappistes Rochefort goblet...
A-Poured a cloudy, hazy golden color with lots of sediment and off white head. Head quickly settled into a thin lace around the glass. Lighter carbonation than most Belgian beers.
S- subtle fruit aromas with a hint of banana. Subtle bread and yeast essence also present.
T- medium bodied, slightly sweet. Not much complexity. As the beer warmed to room temperature, it became more pleasant and the 8.5% ABV was nicely masked.
MF- nice mouthfeel, but aches for a bit more body.
O- I would buy this beer again. It would help if the local beer prices were more in line with reality. For having traveled half way around the world, this beer still has it. This is one of the best examples of Grand Cru Wit beer I have had. I would definitely like to see more domestic attempts at this brew style.

Clear golden caramel appearance with very little carbonation due to age (40 years since bottling). Caramel, malt, tea notes. Very little oxidation for its age. Old but held up well.

Poured in a tulip glass. 8.5% ABV. Hazy blonde with a fne 2 finger white head. Light carbonation. This is obviously a well made beer.
Smell, some biscuitty sweetness bit of green banana and some spice. Bit of koriander I guess, as Hoegaarden likes to work with orange peel and koriander. Yes label confirms.
Bitter taste, but not too dry, obviously has some sugar added. BIt disappointing. Bitter aftertaste. Not what I would call a Grand Cru.
Mouth feel is good. But somehow too bitter and to sweet. And too much alcohol for this kind of pale ale. Prefer a Duvel anytime every day. This one is a good beer, but not for me.

Flavour, aroma, head and easy to drink. Tropical fruits like banana. Would dink again.

De color ámbar, con una gran cabeza espumosa. Cuerpo medio y carbonatación ligera. Aroma cítrico y afrutado aunque con menor intensidad. En boca tiene un sabor intenso agradable.

L- Mid gold, slightly hazy (bottle-conditioned), pours with 3mm white head.
S- That scent of a deep beer, a hint of orange.
T- This is the 3rd beer that's new to me this evening and finally I'm getting some complexity. It has some conifer, banana, and typical spicing of a Belgian trad beer.
F- Punchy ABV% and richness brings some overall balance.
O- Perhaps a bit too sweet for me. Overall rather disappointing for a 'Grand Cru' from a brewery of this repute.
Bought from Beerhawk/UK, 330ml bottle BB 20/07/20

Hazy orange, small bubbles head dissipates quickly.
Very clove-y, spicy, like a strong wheat beer.
Nice but not great

L: hazy yellow turning orange, thick foamy head with dissipated quickly. Moderate lacing.
S: typical wit. Sourdough bread plus spices (coriander I guess). Perhaps some pear.
T: Less tart and more alcoholic than a wit, with a bit more yeasty character. Still, bread and some wit-like spices (coriander and some orange peel). There's not the orange fanta feeling of some wits. Pear fruitiness is also there. Good and complex.
F: as expected, medium to light body, very carbonated, dry finish.
O: Very good, more complex than usual witbier. Not outstanding but very good
