Poured from 33 cl bottle.

Appearance: Light brown with a finger of tan head.
Smell: Malty smell with whiffs of cherry and coco.
Taste: Hops in the middle and some chocolate, nuts on the back with a caramel aftertaste. Lots of flavors I couldn't identify, many were too strong and got in each others way.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and creamy, one of the nicer aspects of this beer.

Decent beer. It has a brown-orange color, with a thin white head. Very smooth to drink, with a light carbonation. It has a fruity taste, but very lightly. Unique, have never drunk anything like this. Was a bit worried when i saw the color, but overall this is definitely an Ok beer.

This bottle is a vintage from the late '80's.

The beer actually still had some carb when I popped the cap! Cool! It pours REAL flat though. And there is no chance this thing is going to produce any kind of head. The body is a dark caramel, that has chunks of dark sediment settling at the bottom of the glass, smaller swirling of sediment throughout the beer.

The nose on this is pretty fantastic. There are dark fruits every where: figs, dates. Man, this is incredibly sweet and syrupy, lots of honey here too.

And... this is where the beer finally takes a turn. This really does not have much of anything to offer on the palate as far as flavors go. Mid-palate I detect just a little of the honey sweetness suggested by the nose, and then that band-aid flavor sets in a little. The finish also has a bunch mineral water bitterness.

The beer is flat, so really watery, just a little dry.

My final take on this: do not take a bottle of this and set it aside for near on twenty five years. I promise you this beer is passed its prime by this point.

At the Pilsner Club, Amsterdam.

Murky oxblood with tan film.
Big sour rye loaf and cherry nose.
Ginger bread cake, cream soda, plum, brown sugar, a clove hit, raspberry scone and earthy, spicy hops.
Creme brulee end and clove linger.
Fizzy, medium, chewy.

Going in blind (and I didn't order an InBev product knowingly!) I guessed this was a dubbel. Good fruit, fizzy enough to clear itself, and enough chew. "Finish like a 747 landing," said the man.

Solid.

The label alone bumps up the appearance rating on this one. I'm not sure that is the rule but beer should be fun, so :p. Opaque caramel color with a dense white head and tiny Don Ho-like bubbles running up the sides. It smells like raspberries, wood and leather. Sort of a rural barn smell without the manure. The taste is dry and has that leather thing going on. Really nice. There is something vaguely biscuit as well. The mouthfeel is soft and tingly. Like a fresh stripper. Overall a really nice beer. It is dominated by its dryness and is subtle but refreshing.
