Presentation: 12oz bottle in an official Fisherman's Brew Shaker pint!
Wow...poured thick, oily, viscous & silent, maybe even a wee bit syrupy! Damn, this is one dark IPA! Thick & clouded, it looks like iced tea with a warm, rhubarb-esque amber hue....wild. Head was a pencil's worth of loose, antique ivory hued foam that faded almost immediately into a thin sheen & edge ring.
Nose is sweet, thick, citric hops evoke grapefruit aromas with a little pineapple in the background. Soft green pine needles are also there but subtle as well.
Damn, this is nice! Thick, soft, very round, a little chewy, one of the maltiest IPAs I've had. I'm no hophead so this sweet taste (some traces of brown sugar) & mouth-feel is most welcome. Hops are subdued, not over the top & searing, yet what is there is nicely bitter with traces of grapefruit rind & pith as well as some pine. Not even semi-dry, its definitely "wet" with a very, very faint, damp, back of the mouth crunch, which only pushes the overall heaviness & thickness of it. The overall effect is a heavy, slightly sweet, subtly bitter IPA in feel & taste.
Growing a little more bitter on the palate, slightly drier (but still barely semi-dry if that), it stays round & full in feel. The sharpest aspect of this brew is a rounded off corner at best, a nice change from some of the stiletto qualities some IPAs bring. As a result its very easy to drink (I'm forcing myself to slow down) and could definitely be sessioned no problem.
It finishes with a nice, lightened blast of hoppy grapefruit, leaving a bittersweet, slightly sticky & chewy aftertaste that coats the mouth with a thin sheen of pine.
Damn nice, and quite a surprise. I still can't get over the thickness & color. A real malthead's IPA. This would pair beautifully with with about anything in a pub or off a summer grill, and could work with some sweeter, "zesty" food genres. Any number of mild to mid-range cheeses (cheddar, aged Gouda, etc) would also be great. I'd definitely drink this again in a heartbeat. A nice find, and one I recommend heartily, especially if you are not into hot, searing IPAs. Check it out!!

Served on tap in pint glass.
Apperance: Darker amber. Off white head about two fingers thick. Mild lacing on thr glass.
Smell: Hops, citrus, and pine notes.
Mouthfeel/Taste: Not a smooth, a bit grainy. Medium bodied. Taste of bitter hops and pine, very faint citrus flavor.
Overall: This was an OK IPA, I would have it again.

From the bottle to the glass a orange color with a 2nch head.
a: Orange color with a 2 finger head
s: Slight hint of citrus, and malty
t: Slight amount of citrus, significant malt presence, not much flavor, and has too high amount of carbonation.
m: Hard to drink due to high carbonation.
o: Not my type of IPA, and would not recommend it. Ended up pouring out the remaining bottle.
Glad I purchased a single bottle, so I do not have to suffer drinking the other five.. Will not buy any more.

A) Pours with a two finger head that settles slowly. Amber colored body. Slight haze. Sticky lacing on the drink down.
S) Light hoppy aroma, not much else.
T) Balanced flavor profile. Not over the top hoppy. A good consistency throughout. Notes of buttery caramel and pine.
M) Mediumd body. Crisp. Mellow dryness in the finish.
O) A decent brew. I'd have another.
