Bought a six-pack at Table and Vine. The drink poured with a large head and levels of patching across the glass. The appearance was a crisp gold look, with a slight amber color. Aromas were strong with sweet grains flavors and an earthy tone. The taste had a good flavor initially, but the taste kind of dissipates quickly. Generally speaking, it had a sugary sweet taste with light hops. Mouthfeel was light and watery. Pretty refreshing actually. Overall, not too bad.

Reviewed from notes. Most of the time this was poured into a pint glass but twice it was poured into a stange. There wasn’t any difference between the two. The appearance had a gentle hazy golden color with a light transparency about it. There was a small white head that left some trickling lacing. The smell had some light sweet German malts along with a light underscore of lemon and a touch of sweet corn. The taste was mainly sweet through the previously mentioned flavors. On the palate, this one sat fairly light and had a good sessionability about it. The carbonation finishes somewhat harsh. Overall, I say it holds itself to being a good American styled kolsch worthy of having again.

Kinda stunning to realize that just ten short years ago, it was commercially viable for a brewery to make a Kolsch their flagship.
Sampled at the brewery. Pours dark gold, filtered, with a nice white head. Smells of dry noble hops and fresh hay.
Tastes quite good--bold for the style and excellently balanced. Starts with pronounced light barley, bready and sweet, moving into a middle that's a nice balance of bright fruit and saaz hops.
This is one of the best American Kolsches I've ever had, and not because it was super fresh. Lots of American iterations of the style have straw or earthen nodes that lend an unpleasant dryness to the beer. This beer is fresh and spritely with a noticeable hop presence.
