I stopped here today before driving home after I checked out Lucky Baldwin's , right off the 134 Freeway, pulled in to its own parking lot and walked through the doors, although there was no signs for where the beer was I found it quickly and made my way to the first of around eight fridge doors, I saw two Chapeau lambics that were Apricot and Kriek, first time I have ever seen those anywhere, also saw some Cantillon Gueuze and Iris, then I went to look for what I came for which was Bruery Autumn Maple and unfortunately they were sold out, oh well I found four other things anyways that were Alpine Ichabod 2008, Port Panzer Pilsner, Fish Tale Poseidon's Imperial Stout, and Hair of the Dog Adam, the bill was only around thirty bucks for those which was quite fair, they also had some cool things I passed on mainly because funds are low like Abbaye de Saint Bon Chien, Lost Abbey 10 Commandments, some interesting things from Dupont, most or all of Stone, Alesmith, Green Flash including Le Freak and Double Stout for the cheapest I have seen both of them, also three different Telegrpahs for eight bucks each, not the biggest selection overall but a good one, they have a cool wine tasting bar and a ton of other alcohol in this place, it is very clean and organized, looks more on the fancy side when you walk in and they are definitely geared towards wine even though they have a nice beer selection, prices were average on most things and more or less on others, the beer guy Alex was super cool and talked with me for about fifteen minutes about other places to check out around the area, answered some questions for me, and even sold me an Ichabod before it was out on the floor, I will definitely be going back when I am in the area, glad I make the trek out to Glendale, certainly worth checking out if you are within thirty miles or so

Am I too late? I saw a "for lease" sign on the top corner of the building, wondering if I was going to be buying beer here or not. Seeing a handful of tap beers listed outside raised hopes. Being able to walk inside assured it.
Now I think I'm under the for lease sign. It's a large interior with a tasting bar in dark corner, lots of empty floor space, refrigerated shelves that are 75% filled with beer and the rest awaiting occupation. I saw signs pointing to certain varieties of wine, yet there was no wine in said area. It looked like the place was closing. It was depressing.
Despite open shelves, there was still plenty of good beer available. Many large format bottles available, many occupied with West Coast beers like Bootlegger's, Stone, Coronado, Almanac, and Maui. I found some special release beers on the shelf too, like Firestone DDBA and Stone Enjoy By IPA. Imports are available too. Pricetags are posted for much of the beer.
Not sure if it only gets worse before closure or was just a coincidence. Time will tell.

I visited Red Carpet today since I was in the area. The atmosphere is good with an upscale feel and a selection of wine, liquor, and beer. There is a small tasting area inside the store where you can purchase beer and drink it there if you so wish. Service was good with friendly workers happy to assist me in finding a beer that was not on the shelf. All of their beer is refrigerated and all bottle dates seemed to be current. Selection was very good with a wide range of beer split up by geographic region in its own cooler. Prices were pretty reasonable for all of their beers. Lots of goodies on the shelf that I haven't seen anywhere else before. Overall, this is a pretty great store that I am sure to visit again in the future and I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the general area.

My girlfriend's dad has been coming here for year, so I figured it was time that I went to go check it out. Its a pretty big shop complete with a tasting area. They have about 7 coolers worth of beer and the rest of the store is dedicated to wine and spirits. The staff was really nice and seemed pretty knowledgable, although we didn't have many questions for them.
I was able to pick up Allagash Fluxus, which my roommate had been looking for. They have a pretty good selection and I'd definitely be interested in going back to see what else they get in.

I was recently at red carpet wine while on vacation with my family. Read some reviews about this place so I thought that it looked promising. The stores located in a nice neighborhood with a nice storefront. The inside looks even nicer.
All the beers located inside the glass coolers. They have a great selection of IPAs.. Bear republic, Ballast point, Alpine, Stone, and others which is just what I was looking for. But I was pretty bummed because I could not find any russian river brews. Oh well I thought to myself and proceeded to fill up my bin with 2 bombers each of the above mentioned breweries.
While I was making my selection I was approached by a friendly staff member. He asked me if I needed help finding anything.
I asked him if had any russian river brews. I told him where I was from and that I don't get out to cali that much. He went into the back of the store and came back with a supplication and consercation! Now I have a proper vacation stash of cali beer.
Overall a great stop for anyone seeking quality beer. Especially if your out of town. Very friendly staff . Wish I had a store like this at home.

First and foremost the help staff is very welcoming and immediately invites you to join their email list in a legitimately caring way, not some used car salesman push. I talked shop with Mike for a bit about Bruery releases and forthcoming sours and he was very knowledgeable.
The selection is a cut above most wine stores, better than K&L and I would say equal to Cap and Cork, just different based on your needs. Picked up a bottle of Biere De Mars, great lambic selection, mikkleller has it's fair share of representation as well. The SD local scene was a bit underrepresented but still a solid stable for favorites like Sculpin and a bevy of Stone products
I will return, particularly if this email list is as fruitful as represented. Sipping on a 1000 IBU right now to their credit, keep up the good work.

Red Carpet is not in my immediate area, but I do my best to make it a point to stop in when I'm in the area, on the way somewhere nearby, or coming back from somewhere that puts me within distance of Red Carpet.
Good quality, prices, and rotating selection of beer, (though could be a bit better) and they also of course have a good selection of wines and spirits (check out some of the whiskies if your interested)
They will set aside bottles of some things if you call ahead, and have a good email/newsletter list as well of new releases in stock too.
Also, the 95% of their beer selection is refrigerated too, which is a great plus as well.
Michael is the beer guy. Funny recent story too, ran into Michael at the CoLAboration/TDA 1st anniversary fest, which was ironic, since I was going to Red Carpet afterwards to get some Pliney the Elder for a trade, had I known he'd be there, I'd just ask if he could bring it (not sure if he would have, but anyhow)
Great spot if you live locally, or are on the look out for new releases.

Visited here on 2011-03-26.
Stopped in because I'd read they had a fresh batch of Hair of the Dog's Blue Dot DIPA. Called ahead and they graciously set a couple of bottles aside for me.
The building was easy to find and they have their own parking lot. The store features more wine than beer, but their beer coolers held an impressive collection of brews. I'd be happy if this selection was available in a bottle shop near me in Pennsylvania.
After giving me some time to browse the selection, a very helpful and knowledgeable fellow chatted me up about my preferences.
For those so-inclinded, there is a walk-in cigar humidor with a good-but-pricey selection.
Thumbs up for a friendly store with a good craft beer selection!

Great stop on my last day in town. Went in to grab just a couple bottles to toss in my luggage since I had some lbs to spare, and ended up talking to one of the salespeople (Miles) for nearly 30 mins. Very knowledgable about beer, despite being primarily a wine store. I definitely had fun pacing up and down the aisle of beer coolers trying to decide what 3 bombers to bring back to Wisco with me. Then had a nice chat with Michael about the beer selection and what upcoming beers would be available to ship home with me. Needless to say, a place I would stop again, just for the friendly service.
