Wow ... concept grocery shopping. This store has a feel unlike anything this midwestern-yokel is used to, which is nice, refreshing, and a little off-putting.

Though the layout seems relatively intuitive at first glance, if you're anything like me you'll be walking around in concentric circles looking for every last item. Its called store psychology, I call it a pain in the arse.

Nevertheless, the beer selection is pretty darned decent for a grocery store. A few sixers of Celebration, Great Lakes, Bell's, Barley Island, and a few others. Alot of imports I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, but they're there.

Altogether a place I would go to pick up beer staples, but nothing odd or esoteric here. But its damned nice to stick some good beer in as "groceries", flying under the wifely radar.

And Indiana, for fucks' sake, change your blue laws. Beer should be refridgerated, its a food. As of now grocery stores cannot stick this stuff in the reefer.

I was hesitant to add a supermarket to the BeerFly database, but I honestly think this one deserves to be here...

This is a new Marsh concept store. The store itself is very nice, but what really surprised me was the beer selection. I found beers from several local breweries, including Barley Island, Upland, Bell's, Oaken Barrel, Goose Island, and Great Lakes. In addition, they carried beers from Sierra Nevada, Samuel Smith's, Hacker-Pschorr, McEwans, and Black Sheep to name just a few. The beer seemed to be priced very well for the area as well.

All of the beer was kept warm, which was a bit dissapointing, and this is not as good a selection of craft brewed beer as you'll find at specialty liquor stores. It is, however, nice to see a large supermarket like this catering to the beer lover, and it's reassuring to think that this could be very good exposure for some local breweries.
