Pours dark hazy golden, big foamy head that you need to fight through.
Smells awesome, perfect banana, clove and warm booze.
First sip brings huge candied banana chips, with lots of caramel and honey; the malts may be sweet, but also heavy with wheat (not cloying tho). Some yellow pear and apple too. Big floral notes, apple and orange peel, and lots of clove. Low lemon zest, just enough to make this beer fresh and a bit crisp. Booze is nicely paired with the fruity sweetness and hidden by the wheaty malts. Hops in the finish, mildly bitter.
Goes down like a perfect weizen. Aftertaste consists of caramel/honey and warm alcohol, but not too much.
A perfect weizenbock, really tasty. (688 characters)
