33cl bottle poured into a weiss glass. Comes in an ultra-cool bottle.

Pours a cloudy yellowish-white with a 2 inch head that recedes slowly and leaves some wet lacing. Very mild carbonation. Aroma is pungent and spicy with the typical weiss banana bread/pear combo, but the spiciness is amped up with a lot of clove coming through and some pepper and coriander. A bit of citrus peel as well. The spiciness is leaning a little into Belgian territory at times, but that's enjoyable.

Taste is extremely herbal with the banana and clove taking second fiddle to a flowery and perfumey flavour. If anybody remembers Sen-Sen breath fresheners, that's what I believe the "alpine herbs" remind me of. Sweet and bready, and even a little peppery. Freshly mown grassy green flavour in the finish. Very mellow and flavourful at the same time, unique. Body is near perfect, slides down easily but there's enough body that it never seems watery. Carbonation is medium and the mouthfeel is quite wet. This is a damn tasty beer, I'm quite surprised. Nice summer refresher.

Poured into a tall hefe glass. Light opaque golden, about two inches of head that recede to a sturdy half inch. Some visible carbonation.

Nose is right on for the style: banana, yeast, light wheat malts, bubble gum, spices, and an herbal tartness, which I quite like.

A refreshing weissbier, smooth and flavorful. None of the dominant flavours are strong enough to achieve supremacy; there's a lovely balance here. Slightly dry to the finish.

Slightly watery, light carbonation. Very chuggable.

Would be perfect on a warm summer's day! Certainly an admirable weissbier, one I'll keep coming back to.

330 ml bottle poured in a chilled pint glass...

Appearance - pours very light and develops a nice foam head. Head is a crisp white and last for a few minutes, some nice lacing present. the beer is a opaque yellow amber appearance. Carbonation is normal to low.

Smell - a hint of citrus and herbs, something a little different. not overly crazy on the smell, just enough to draw attention.

Taste - WoW - this beer has taste! very lasting after taste as well. you can taste the hops come through in the sampling. goes down fairly smooth, with a creamy feel (although not that creamy!)

Mouthfeel - lotta of aroma floating around my mouth! The taste comes to life with the added carbonation. can really taste the creaminess of this beer in the mouthfeel.

Drinkability - This is a beer that as I drank more, i liked more. Wouldn't go hunt it down around the world, but not afraid to drink it again. Nice beer overall that offers a lot to the pallet!

330ml bottle, nicely embossed mountain range around the low-slung circumference of the label. Seems appropriate on a night where the major thoroughfares in the city are more reminiscent of groomed ski runs.

This beer pours a hazy pale golden straw colour, with two fingers of somewhat puffy, and thinly creamy eggshell white head, which leaves a low, sparsely sudsy wall of lace around the glass as it eagerly sinks away.

It smells of sweet, earthy, perfumed florals, candied banana, sugary wheat malt, citrus, clove, and subtly subdued yeast. The taste is more sweet, lightly sugary wheat cereal malt, an understated citrus fruitiness, bubblegum, benign coriander, overripe apple puree, some softly estery yeast, and herbal, mildly spicy hops.

The carbonation is rather tame, but supportive enough, the body a decent medium weight, smooth, and even a tad creamy. It finishes off-dry, and pretty clean, the herbal remedy-esque fruit, spice, and hops riding atop a softly edgy sweetness.

A very nice, agreeably 'adjusted' wheat beer, as the alpine herb delta hits the spot just so, conjuring up images of crisp, airy mountain meadows, edged with snow as Spring is nigh, as opposed to the brash, middling onslaught outside my frozen window right now.

Opaque pale yellow in colour, anyone who tells you this stuff is transparent forgot to dislodge the yeast sediment caked on the bottom of the bottle. Tight white head is decently retained but shows no lacing. Bubblegum aroma and very mute banana, complemented by a mild herbal note. Tastes of bubblegum, citrus, and mute banana. Herb flavour is minty and slightly medicinal. There's a hint of vanilla in here as well. The herb flavour builds as the beer warms. Tangy acidity. Light-bodied with spritzy, fine carbonation. What would no doubt be a refreshing, easy-drinkining, thirst quencher benefits greatly from the cooling sensation given by the herbs it's brewed with. Delicious and interesting.

Whoever it is with a penchant for weiss beer buying at the government monopoly LCBO, i hope they don't retire for a long time. Pours deep yellow with white foaming head. Fresh and refreshing unique spiciness, this leaves your breath fresh and minty, ready to yodel. Herbal and wintermint in aroma, drinks very smooth.

Appearance is a little off putting, this is one very pale hefeweizen. "Snow" is right, this beer is almost white. Decent head with good lacings. Oodles of carbonation.

Incredibly aromatic wheat beer. Lots of cool vanilla and a soft touch of banana. Another quality which can only be described as "fabric softener sheet", but in a good way. Alpine fresh!

Banana and vanilla certainly, but there is a real freshness from whatever "alpine herbs" they've used here. Almost like coriander seeds, but without the citrus-like tang. Wish I could tell you what it is, but the best I can do is soft floral notes.

Very smooth, but very substantial as well. This is one refreshing brew. Serve a little cooler than you usually would, I find the flavours hold their own. Good stuff.

Poured into the Edelweiss glass, one finger of head on a hazy light straw colored body.
The aroma is faint lemon. Some more of something would have been nice.
The taste is wheat throughout with some mild lemon bitterness. Enjoyable.
The texture is smooth with moderate carbonation.
An enjoyable drink that tends towards a single wheat profile.

This beer poured into my weizen glass with a pillowy, two-finger head above a cloudy, dark gold body. The "alpine herbs" added to this beer gave it more of a witbier smell to me: Clove, coriander and more zesty orange peel than the traditional banana aroma of a hefeweizen.

The taste started with sweet bubblegum before the spicy coriander and herbs kicked in and provided a tingling finish. The carbonation was lively, but felt tight and didn't detract from a smooth body. Very refreshing and enjoyable, but a little medicinal to have too many in a row.

Hazy yellow orange with a thin white head. Head falls to a thin cap fairly quickly.

Smell is mostly clove, with a sweet banana base. A little bit of lemon zest. Not bad.

Tip of the tongue is treated to a very sweet banana flavour. The follow up is peppery clove and a what seems like coriander or cardamon. A citrus zest is mixed in throughout.

A decent amount of body for a hefe weizen, and the carbonation is lively but not overdone. This one is a nice summertime quaffer. I'm not sure what "Alpine Herbs" are supposed to taste like, but this presents itself as a fresh flavoured wheat beer.

Pours cloudy amber with a large head.
Massive banana on the nose alongside bubblegum and doughy wheat. Smells like banana confectionery.
Nice banana and wheat flavours up front before a grainy note enters. Short finish.
Body feels watery.
Some sweet herbal note is noticeable in both the aroma and as a flavour, I can't quite pick it...

Bottle courtesy of Piscator34: Poured an hazy yellow/white color weizen with a huge pure white foamy head with great retention and great lacing. Aroma of banana ester if dominating with some subtle sourness. Taste is also dominated by banana ester as well as lots of wheat and finished with some subtle sourness which is too bad because everything was perfect and pointing to a magnificent weizen. It is too bad that the style doesn’t travel well because I am sure that this stuff is great when fresh. The spices aspect of it is interesting but that weizen part of this really dominate.

Pours with a bright white head that rests above a murky light orange color. Not really any lacing or much retention.

Smells like a good hefe, gum, banana, spicy yeast and wheat.

Tastes of wheat, earth, citrus, yeast and spice at the end (clove). I'm fairly happy with this one.

If you really love me you will bring me Edelweiss....or so the old 80's Euro dance song went (to the tune of ABBA's SOS for those not in the know). I must say this stuff is a bit of a treat.

Pours out a cloudy straw colour, but topped with a mammoth creamy white head with great retention.

The aroma is sweet and floral and grassy, almost like those fancy European hard candies that come in a tin in snooty shops and cost a small fortune. Light whisps of citrus and mandarin.

What a delightful tasting wheat beer, the flavour is very similar to the aroma, they line up well. Maybe not a hit with the purists, but I'm really digging on this "alpine flavoured" weiss. Sweet floral and citrus taste along with light soft notes of wheat.

Mouthfeel is light for the most part, but has a fuller push as it rolls over the palate, carbonation tingling when swallowed.

Hey, this one's kinda out of left field there, but I like it, great little surprise, and I'd put it up there pretty high for a starter in the world of wheats for the wary and uninitiated. I know, I know, it's not very traditional to the big estery weiss's, but it won't spook anyone away too quickly either.

Im not a fan of this style, but when I see somthing diffrent at my LCBO I always have to try it.

A: cloudy and pale. head dissapears very quickly

S: very floral and perfumy. slight medicinal quality. soapy. fresh.

T: sharp. soapy. floral hops. unbalanced.

M: quite thick. would be good with a meal. pasta, chicken.

D: I'll pass on this one.

Pours a very hazy light straw with an gorgeous 2 and a half finger thick, creamy snow white head that leaves some really nice patchy lacing.

Banana, citrus, yeast and some sort of sweet berry scent.

Sweet, candied banana up front followed by a splash of citrus, spice and a slightly sour backdrop.

Mouthfeel smooth and creamy but felt it could have been a little more full and rounded. Still very refreshing.

Overall, a nice, thirst quenching hefe. Didn't catch too much of the alpine herbs that are boasted on the label, but would still be happy to buy another.

Bottle-Cloudy yellow pour with a frothy but short lived white cap, leaving a little lace.
The aromas are banana and clove with lemon and malts with a minty, herbal essence that s quite interesting. That must be the alpine herbs. Tastes of lemon and other citrus fruit, sweet banana, cloves and again an interesting minty spiciness. I quite like it. The finish is creamy and lingering.
