look: 3 | smell: 2.5 | taste: 2.5 | feel: 3 | overall: 3

Appearance: Pours a very, very pale yellow body with a wispy, white band of bubbles.

Smell: Mild aroma of pale malts with a sweetish hint of cooked corn niblets.

Taste: Pale malts with a cereal sweetness. Touch of corn. Less than a touch of hops. And all at once it's gone in a crisp, clean finish.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: The second best thing to vacationing in Puerto Rico!

My can has a much different design than the bottle, but it's definitely the same beer. Hopefully it's better than their no-reason-to-exist light beer. Interesting note on the can: "Alcohol by volume over 4%, not more than 6%".

As I poured I thought "my word, this stuff's almost white!" But it's really a bland pale yellow. Might as well be white/clear. The head retains well, and the bubbles are abundant but sensible (ie. not like soda). It's already better than their crappy light beer.

Aroma is entirely unattractive. Boiled corn, cooked veggies, lemonade. All things I like, but not in this context.

The sweetness of lemonade comes through in the flavor. A sugary edge, with a malty backup and a decent hoppy snap. For the style, it's decent and drinkable, if a bit ho-hum.

Mouthfeel is the best part of this beer, having a firm creaminess offsetting the crisper, shaper elements that one would expect from the style.

Certainly drinkable, and not even a drainpour. But still, it's a matter of "when in Puerto Rico..." with this one. And there's no reason to reach for the brewer's light beer as long as this one's around. But my wife, who kindly brought it back from Puerto Rico, said this was much harder to find than the light beer. Doesn't that figure...

This Beer was hard to find. Believe me I was on the hunt. Everyone either said they had never heard of it and some older people had said they did not make it any more. I found in a souvenir/convenience store Conado towards the bridge going into Old Juan. I did not get the name but if anybody cares it was across from a Chili’s. It has a cool red can with lots of Indian scenes kind of hidden in the design. There are a lot of people that will tell you Medalla is the only beer in Puerto Rico but India is there and still made fresh. If you find it the only real bad thing is it has a lot of carbonation.

Appearance- Not as pale as most lagers you will find in the Caribbean. It is a darker shade of yellow. There is lots of foam as soon as you open the can and again when you pour. There is actually a good lace as well as a by product of this foam. Let the foam die down and then enjoy.

Smell- It is very sweet and malty.

Taste- Once you get past the carbonation it is pretty good. A sweet and metallic taste is the first thing you notice and a little bit bitter citrus will follow.

Mouthfeel- Here we go with the carbonation again. Pretty full bodied for a mass produced beer.

Drinkability- As I said before it is a good beer the only thing that hurts this beer is the amount of foam.

Compared to Cervecerìa India’s other beer, Medalla Light, this beer is amazing, but so is just about anything. Cerveza India is carbonated to point of ridiculousness that is guaranteed to make you the loudest belcher on the beach. I have only found this beer in 10oz. cans, which is both a positive and a negative because it’s easy to drink before it gets warm, but a 10oz can of beer is a freakin’ rip-off no matter what it is. To pour this beer does provide a rather nice dark yellow color, but with no head after the first 30 seconds. The taste and smell remind me of a slightly more bland Amstel Light. Nevertheless, for about $1 a can at any beach-bar this is still a pretty good deal.

Not a very popular beer in Puerto Rico. Nonetheless I had to try it. Nothing special about it. It is a typical American Adjunt that has a bit too much carbonation for me. Taste is simply ordinary and reminded me of Coors. Drinkability is okay. Hell in the Puerto Rico's climate just about any beer is drinkable on an all day basis.

pours a dark yellow colour with no head. the smell is sweet with a bit of grain noticeable, but that's about it. there's not much going on with the smell or the taste here, with the taste being thinner than the smell, but having a noticeable lemon kick to it. something was a bit off in the back of this one as well. can't figure out what it was, but it wasn't right. it was waaaay too carbonated as well. an overall boring and bland brew that's a little better than an american macro but not even up to snuff with the likes of heineken, stella artios, beck's, etc. boring.
