Pint glass, half finger of head. Cloudy, copper colored body.
Smell is malty, wet grain in a barnyard. Not great.
Taste is sour with mild bitterness. It's a bit disjointed.
Smooth texture, moderate carbonation and medium body.
Not too impressed with this. Not horrible, but missing the mark.

A&S: White fluffy head that pours about a half a finger and retains as specks on top. Leaves tiny bits of lacing. Beer is a semi-lively full orange color. The aroma consists of sparse citrus hops and a heavy malt component, and some mild sweetness.

T&M: Little too malty. Lacking in the hop department. A little heavy on the palate due to its high malt content. Pretty bland. On the light side of medium body, on the low side of medium carbonation.

Overall: Not super drinkable. It wasn't like this beer is awful, I just wouldn't seek it out again and wouldn't recommend for the style (much better options out there).

Tasted from a bottle poured into a tulip on 4/9. Bottle was bottled the first week of January so I'm hoping this isn't too old.

A: Red Rocket pours quite hazy for a Pale Ale. Mine had visible sediment in the glass. That's not necessarily a negative, just different from other pale ales. Otherwise, the beer pours a distinctive amber color with a hint of orange. Darker than I would've expected - it definitely appears as more of an Amber Ale instead of a Pale Ale. Moderate head that retains quite well even after the initial pour. Overall, looks pretty good.

S: I think my bottle was too old because the nose on this beer is very muddled. Nothing really comes through or pops in the nose. Rather, it's an muddled combination of caramel and malt with a slight hint of citrus and floral from the hops. Definitely not something to write home about.

T: Initial sip: light and very balanced. Like the smell, nothing really "pops", except I get a pronounced honey flavor on the back-end. That's interesting for a Pale Ale. The maltiness is more caramely than robust, while the hop profile is citrus with a slight tinge of floral. It's definitely not an overpowering hoppy beer though. Overall, this beer tastes more like an Amber than a Pale Ale.

M: More effervescent than expected. It's a well-carbed beer - perhaps slightly too much. It's also very dry, which is characteristic of a Pale Ale.

O: I dont know how to rate this beer. It has certain aspects that definitely qualify it as an Amber: it's hazy look, subdued hoppiness, and caramel malt flavor. It also has certain qualities of a Pale Ale: namely its dry character. If youre looking for a pure Amber or a pure Pale, I'd definitely pick another beer. But as a combination of the two, it doesn't do too badly. It's very well balanced, easy drinking, and has a quality that makes you want to go back for another sip. It's not my favorite Bristol brew - nor my favorite APA - but it's a solid offering.

Nothing special. Label on bottle almost has a retro look - kinda ugly. Cloudy and foam was gone right away - slight lacing left on glass. Bit of a grassy smell. Hoppy taste with mild carbonation....not bad - fairly smooth and would be a decent session beer.
