I visited Moon River on a couple occasions. The most memorable was on a hot, July day when the temp was about 100. Any beer would have hit the spot, but I was unprepared by the quality of the beer at Moon River. The place is really downhome southern friendly. The bar tender spent five minutes just talking about the fouir or five beers they had on tap. He later told us about the brewery and described each beer he served. They have a great beer can collection that I spent some time going over, but the food was the real hit. Everything from fried green tomatoes to gumbo to grilled salmon salad. They also have the usual club sandwiches, burgers, etc. They also have an oyster po' boy that is excellent.

The most memorable beer for me was the Swamp Fox IPA and the seasonal stout. Both were of exceptional quality. I would have liked more of a choice so that I could try a few more different beers, but it was very satisfying, and I will be returning the next time I'm in Savannah.

Generally uses the supposed novelty of being a brewpub to draw in tourists because the beer and food are average. Had the pale ale, which was fairly flavorless and lacked body. The porter is better. If you are looking for good beer, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Great location within walking distance of the riverfront. Tried the Captain's Porter and the Slovannah Pale Ale, along with a burger and onion rings, all very good. Noted with amusement some of the "tourists" who came in, bought pints, and left after barely tasting them-BMC drinkers apparently. The seasonal Tater Ale (sweet potato as opposed to the ubiquitous pumpkin ales prevalent this time of year) was a perfect finish to lunch.

Good brew pub. Been there several times. Service isn't as genuinely friendly as most pubs. Decent selection of craft brews. Food was good.
I had a burger, my wife had shrimp creole which was good but way too spicey. All in all it is worth the price.
