.5L Bügelflasche, best before 1/6/12. Now labeled as "Schwarzbier" rather than "Black Max".
Pours a dark mahogany brown, with a decent light-tan head. Retention is good, as is the lacing.
Aroma is nice, with chocolatey notes and then fresh hops towards the end.
The flavor is solid, with a dry dose of near-roasted malt flavor. Notes of coffee, faint bitter chocolate, along with a general woodiness. The finish is clean, dry and bitter. Mouthfeel has ample carbonation, but could be more creamy.
A good Schwarzbier from Fiege.

This is a damn good Schwarzbier that is only available in Germany. It pours out a dark, but not opaque, black colour with ruby red edges. The head is small and compact. The aromas are of fruity hops and big bready malts. The mouthfeel is creamy, but a bit thin and the drinkability is pretty damn excellent!
