Poured into my St. Bernardus Watou glass, a very nice clean/clear golden amber color, nice carbonation, nice one finger off-white head, which leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, yeasty, fruity, with some very slight spice. The taste is very nice, malty, yeasty, nice touch of fruit, with low spiceness. Medium body. Very drinkable, this is an awsome brew, very tasty, highly recommended. This is my second brew from this brewery and it is the best so far.

I like this beer quite a lot, and I've consistently liked it every time I've had it.
It has a whole lot of fruit in the nose, front, and finish. It even has a bit of fruit-like orange in the color, which is very attractive.
The mouthfeel is a bit harsh, but not unpleasant.
I can easily drink a bomber of this, and I look forward to seeing it each spring!

Crystal clear with a deep garnet color, forming a decent beige head atop small bubbles with very good retention and minimal lacing. Carbonation is moderate to strong. Aroma is very intriguing-browning bananas, spicy clove, caramel malts, a distant note of grain husk. Taste begins spicy with cloves and a brisk banana flavor. An initially bright mouthfeel turns luxuriously creamy and pillowy soft with a very mild finish. Astringency is minimal, and alcohol is very well disguised. Dense body. There are hints of licorice or anise, bread dough, vanilla extract, orange, and a certain floral perfumy character (probably the coriander). The level of hop bitterness is well-balanced with the sticky, bready malts. On tap, this seemed to be a bit fruitier and brighter. A very good beer, and a meal in itself.
Made with English Pale, Munich, Carastan, and Belgian Aromatic malts, Columbus & Czech Saaz hops, spiced with coriander and fermented with Belgian yeast.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a tulip at 50F.
A - Pours a reddish, yet medium amber. 2+ finger head and wonderful retention. Lots and lots of lacing here as well.
S - A fair amount of floral hops, some spice, and a bit of sweet malt. Definitely some fruitiness as well.
T - Spicy coriander and sweetly fruity, yeasty, and with a nice balanced of earthy hops. Was very pleasantly surprised on this, as it holds up quite well to many of the bigger names in this category. For the price-point ($4) it is exceptional, and probably the best beer Snoqualmie is making right now.
M - Creamy smooth yet high on carbonation. Medium bodied.
D - Exceptional. A great overall beer and I am blown away for the price. Will be picking up as many of these as I can find while they are in season.

Appearance This ale poured a big non-yeasty orange in color tinged in brown with a nice, bubbly off-white head.
Smell The hops are rank in this one, and the coriander is raw. If youve ever wondered what reviewers mean when they describe a beer as smelling like coriander then just take a whiff of this. Besides this spice and the sharp floral hoppiness theres some lightly-toasted malt in there somewhere.
Taste The aroma cuts right to the taste. This is a sharp, rank, heavily-spiced hoppy Belgian that tastes exactly like it smells.
Mouthfeel Ill call this a big medium-bodied with some live carbonation and a short but chalky dryness that starts in the middle and continues through the finish.
Drinkability If you like dry, hoppy Belgians there are not a lot of choices out there for you. De Ranke, Loterbol, and a handful of others depending on where you live. Well, if you live in the PacNW or otherwise have access to the fine ales of Snoqualmie Falls, youve got a terrific option here with Spring Fever.
Comments I drank this entirely warm, not at room temp, but well above fridge or even cellar. The nose and taste were explosive, but Im sure this ale would cut through an ice-cold session.

Glowing bonfire orange with a light sprinkling of fine yeast. Despite less than abundant visible carbonation, the pale tangerine colored crown is at least three fingers after the pour. It isn't Belgianesque, but it looks pretty good... and isn't shy about leaving lace.
The nose is bursting with tropical fruit such as juicy pineapple, orange and mango. Simcoe and Amarillo hops seem like obvious guesses. However, Columbus and Saaz are the only hops in use. Hmmm, must be a rogue strain of Belgian yeast. Although the beer doesn't smell especially BSPA-like, it does smell wonderful.
It tastes wonderful too. It looks like Snoqualmie Falls has managed to succeed where quite a few American brewers have failed. That is, in brewing a big Belgian ale that can at least stand in the same room with that country's best without having to hang its head. Never mind their origins, the tropical flavors are reminiscent of American hops. In addition, the total amount of hoppiness is more than BSPAs usually deliver. Both are welcome.
The malt is mostly pale with a negligible amount of Munich toasted breadiness. Top notes of hops, coriander and yeast reign supreme. This is not a beer that makes me say 'wow' each time the glass is upended, but I am nodding my noggin in appreciation with every supremely satisfying sip. This is an American-brewed, Belgian-style ale done right.
Warming brings out even more orange, apricot and grapefruit zestiness. Coriander was an outstanding choice, as was whatever Belgian yeast strain was used. My buds are forcing me to increase the flavor score... and it didn't take much arm twisting. The bottom line is that interesting, delicious and drinkable is always a killer combination.
The mouthfeel is more American than Belgian, but that isn't necessarily a negative. It's medium-full for the ABV and is crushed velvet smooth. In fact, the next highest score is *almost* within reach.
Even though Wildcat IPA still has the top spot, Spring Fever Belgian Style Grand Cru Ale edges out PGA (Perfectly Great Amber) as Snoqualmie's second best beer. It may not be perfect, but it definitely qualifies as great. This is a repeat purchase for sure.

Softly glowing, gorgeous orange body. Medim sized, creamy based capping of off-white foam sits on top and lasts but a minute before fading to always present thick skim and the lacing is strewn about in patterns of stringy melted ice cream thickness.
Bold, floral, spicy aroma with lots of corriander, fresh flower petals, vanilla, apple blossom, lavendar, orange zest, and hops. Quite the potpourri on the nose with this one.
Taste follows suit with a nice flavor of candied floralness which contains a good amount of corriander spritzed about with a nice graze of citric pithyness and zest of orange, tangerine, and lemon rind. Very nice pale hoppyness is thrown about on top of the floral spices and has a wonderful balance of floral sweetness mixing in.
The body has an easy going, smooth, punctual tone to it. Creamy, lush, and full on the palate with fun floralness and citric zippyness which is all wrapped up in a finely paled down balance of sweetness and floral candy.
A good drinkin' brew. If you like em floral and spicy with the right kind of balance to back it up and make it easy to down than this is your beer. Enjoy.

Handsome dark coppery amber color with a creamy head in the Belgian snifter. Inviting aroma of roast grain and the cider press. Tangy and well carbonated in the mouth.
Fairly sweet but with a deep spicy flavor. Some yeasty bitterness. Full of the Belgian character. Roasted malt with an aromatic hoppiness. A little sugary but that biter edge is just right for balance.
This is a delightfully sippable brew that seems more like a Belgian IPA but that sweet, funky Grand Cru taste is just a little more subtle than some scarier brews I've had. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottleworks in Seattle.

Pours clear and orangy, with a white, dense, medium head.
Retention is short-lived, leaving some light lacing.
Aromatics are filled with lush fruits and spice.
Crushed tangerines, freshly cracked coriander, red grapes, and bubblegum.
Nose finishes sweetish and warming.
Medium bodied, a bit slick and chewy. Soft carbonation accents the spicing well.
Pallet is extremely fruity, zesty, and juicy.
Loads of orange character, with grape juice and coriander.
Esters continue in tandem with alcohol-laden hard candies and orange blossom honey.
Finishes warm, with a firm bitterness- edging out the residuals.

Lugged this buddy back from a recent trip to Seattle. Thanks to the guys at Bottleworks for some good advice and great beers!
Pours from its 22 oz bottle into my Urthel tasting glass. Obvious from the pour that this is a nice, full warming and fresh brew. Strong rich orange color that glows in front of the light. A truly frothy head springs up like on a bucket of soapy water. A solid white cap sits on top of the beer the entire way through the drink leaving spiderweb-like streaks of sticky lace down the edges of the glass.
The aroma is dominated by a sweet, yeasty spice with a rich backbone of alcohol and followed through by a wave of coriander. I'm usually someone who avoids added spices like the plague, but with a Belgian-inspired, double-hoppy American pale ale it somehow works wonderfully...if that's what you're expecting. Hard to say this style has a lot of tradition to compare it too, but I like what I'm trying.
I recommend waiting for this beer to warm up some as the potentially competing flavors mellow and blend with time. A very recognizable Belgian-American sweetness up front, like that from a Tripel yeast - spicy, bready, fresh. Beer moves over the mouth extremely smooth and rich leaving a lingering trail of sweet malt and alcohol, herbaceous coriander and finishing out with a slightly astringent pine hoppiness. Warm and lip smacking toward the very end. A bit aggressive at the finish but nothing too serious to make it hard to drink.
Overall this beer has an excellent aroma, really inviting and refreshing flavor and a uniquely smooth Belgian quality. But no doubt that this is an American interpretation so with that in mind I'm completely satisfied with how it's presented. Now, back to Washington.

Presentation: 22 oz brown bomber, “unfiltered and unpasteurized, please refrigerate” on the label. No freshness date.
Appearance: Bold orange amber colour with a mild chill haze, big frothy cream coloured head nearly over flows and seems to stick all over the glass.
Smell: Big time coriander with a floral hop in the back, fresh oranges with a hint of ester.
Taste: Very creamy medium body with a luscious and smooth carbonation. A full and rounded sweetness with flavours of coriander and citric rind riding out its wake. Hop bitterness is quite noticeable but not harsh, more of a pungent flavour that tries to meld with the fruitiness. Estery alcohol flares a bit with fruity and mild solvent flavours. A tight spiciness opens up in the middle with a quick peppery note and a bite from the hops as well as a meek medicinal phenol that rounds the brew out. An underlying nuttiness from the yeast adds an other complex bite to the every growing hop flavour that is bothersome and oddly attractive at the same time.
Notes: This brew reminds me of some of the new upstarts in Belgium and their generous use of hops in traditional styles as well as their own. A good paring would be with a plate of assorted pungent soft cheeses with whole grain rye crackers and fresh orange wedges to break up the flavours.

22 oz. bottle. Clear amber color with a reddish hue and a light tan head. Strong smell of coriander and grains. Medium bodied with a frothy mouthfeel. Taste has lots of coriander and spiced tea herbalness with a bready biscuit malt flavor.
The herbs and spices dominate the flavor here.
