Consumed on nitro at the Baby Bar in Spokane for $3 (happy hour price).
Seemed an inky black (the lighting was very low), with a creamy tan head. Lots of lace on the sides of the glass.
Not a lot of scent to this one.I could barely perceive a vague roasty character.
A little more character in the taste than in the nose, but this is not a flavor bomb by any means. Mildly roasty malts with a mildly sweet toffee-like flavor. Very slight dryness at the swallow.
Coating on the tongue but slightly watery. I always find nitro stouts to be a little too watery, so someone else might be more impressed when it comes to this category. Otherwise it's alright.
Drinkable if you are in the mood for Guinness, and I will say it has a bit more character than that over-rated beer. If if weren't for the brewery calling it a "nitro oatmeal stout," (http://www.fallsbrew.com/black_frog.html) I'd have classed this as a dry Irish stout like the aforementioned Irish brew. While I think it has more character than Guinness, I was more impressed with the Elysian stout that was on-tap at the same bar I tried this at. Still, it's a very sessionable stout, especially at happy hour prices.

Poured a rich black with a very nice finger of slow-receding creamy head. Not too much aroma, just a bit of dry roasty malt and bread. Moderate carbonation and a rather thin mouthfeel. Taste was a bit of a letdown -- rather indistinct and a bit watery with some mild malts and coffee and a quick finish. Easy to drink, but not much to remember.

Served at The Porterhouse in Mt. Vernon, WA. Served in straight pint glass. Poured black with no translucence, the beer had about 3/4 of an inch of thick creamy head that had very good retention and lacing.
The aroma was very good, with a nice roasty scent and multiple layers of malt underneath. The flavors were also very good with a roasty taste that went down very smoothly and had just the slightest coffee flavor.
The body was pretty much typical for a nice nitro stout, full but not thickly heavy. Drinkability was excellent, I could have had several of these with no trouble.
Overall, a very good beer that borders on excellent. Worth seeking out.

This beer pours a very dark color, when held to the light is has a deep red/brown color. the head is fine and creamy looking with lots of lacing down the glass.
Aroma is roasted malts and espresso with a bit of malty/bready character back there.
Taste follows the nose a bit with plenty of roasted and espresso flavors. There are also hints of chocolate and the finish is smooth with roasted malt and light espresso notes. overall the taste is smooth and good but the finish is a bit thin.
Mouthfeel is smooth, medium and carbonation is... nitro. Very smooth and creamy feeling.
Overall this is very easy to drink and satisfying as a stout, i would have this again as a sessionable stout.
