Notes/Commercial Description:
A big bitter 77 IBU India Pale Ale, spiced with a blend of fragrant Magnum, Simcoe, and Cascade hops. An American IPA receipe designed by our late Brewmaster, Greg Noonan. He said that he wanted this to represent the American style IPAs being brewed by the creative brewers using todays malt and hop varieties.

A rich blonder beer crowned with a thin, sticking, creamy, whispy white head. Floral / citrus hop aroma. Mouthfeel is watery, comes across as a thin beer. Bitter, raw, floral, herbal, leafy hop character upfront ... followed by a thin malty sweetness, some fruitiness and toasted / biscuit flavours. A rindy, salty bitterness comes full circle. Quite hoppy and bitter actually, leading to a grainy finish.

A dairly traditional English IPA (if compared to ones that originate from GB), but a tad too thin for my liking.

@ VTP&B

Golden orange with a thick, fluffy white head. A perfect pour the head just crests the top of my glass. So hazy it's almost opaque. Smells like grapefruit, fresh nose in the bag hop "green-ness" and pepper cracker malt. Tastes just like it smells although the greenness is diminished and the grapefruit is increased. Full body and a little juicy despite the dryish cracker malt.

I felt like drinking a pint of New England brewing history with Greg's original recipe at one of the oldest brewpubs in the region. Cheers Mr. Noonan.

Poured on-tap and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a hazy, copper-orange coloring with a filmy, light, white coating of head. CItrus and bitter notes on the nose, with hints of caramel. Hop forward, with grapefruit and lemon, a caramel backbone, and roast characteristics. Good cling to the glass. Bitter pine aftertaste, with citrusy tones. Dry, bitter, clean finish. Solid brew.

Poured a medium brass hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was Goid retention and lacing.

The smell featured subtle herbal and piney hops and a clean grainy malt.

The taste was likewise clean with a crisp pale malt and spicy piney hop.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style.

Overall a serviceable IPA.
