Third time visiting, first time reviewing. Went for lunch on 6.6.09. Nice outdoor dining area for a spring or summer day. Inside is fairly spacious with lots of wood, but somewhat dimly lit. The place tends to get fairly crowded, so expect to wait for seating if you're with a large party. The food menu was reasonably priced with some typical pub fare, as well as a selection of local favorites (e.g. cheeses, apple chutney, organics, etc.). Service was attentive even though it was fairly busy - never had a dry glass for long. The beer list was fairly well-balanced - an IPA, Herb/Spice beer, Tripel, Blonde, Smoked Stout, Rauchbier, Fruit beer and a few other offerings I can't quite remember. I ordered the sampler (6 - 3oz. pours for $6) and the Fruit beer. The beers for the most part were style consistent, but none really blew me away; however, I would have to say that the IPA was the best of the bunch. Not the best brewpub beer I've had, but fairly soild and many different styles to try. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Burlington area and if you find something you really dig, you can grab a growler to go.

Always worth a visit if you are spending the afternoon in Burlington. They have a very dynamic tap list and lots if creative new beers to try out on every visit. Only complaint is that you pretty much have to stay here for lunch to hang out and order a flight to try out the beers. There is a bar area but it is always too sunny and crowded to hang out in.

We have been going here for a few years annually, Vermont Brewers Fest weekends.
A - Inside a little dark, sunroom can get hot in summer, outside patio is super. The inside is loaded with information about the history of the place and its founders the Noonan's.
We had live music this weekend outdoors, a very nice treat.
Q - The beer offerings are broad, there are 2 casks, this past trip had an IPA on cask with Grapefruit to punch up the citrus. The Flanders style Tulach Lies was excellent. We shared a VT cheese platter, saw plenty of burgers, fish and chips etc. going by for the hungrier folks The quality was very good.
S - Lots of activity, sometimes seemed a little long for a re visit from servers, this is often more perceived that timed. They were hustling so no complaints. Our beers were always correct and they keep the water full. Everyone was pleasant.
S - The menu had lots to offer, the beer selection was broad. These two things keep us coming back.
F - As mentioned we had a great cheese plate, and in years past have enjoyed some specials.
The food is pub format and solid.
V - You cannot go wrong here, affordable and consistent. Even the band made note that VPB may be the last place in Burlington where 2 burgers don't cost $30. We all got the meaning.
Seek out this steady solid brew pub.
