Had a quick beer at the bar here on my trip to Burlington. Lots of people outside on the patio drinking, there also seemed to be a wait to get in to eat. We snuck on the bar area and sat facing the outside window and had a beer. I had the smoked porter and thought it was great. The inside was dark and mellow with a good crowd. I would go back to try a bite to eat sometime. It think it is really cool that when you go to Vermont every place that you walk into brews their own beer. This state really must have a passion for brewing.

The east coast brew pub that launched it all (IMO).
VPB has really good local beer crafted on site (of course), it has good pub food like shephreds pie, meatloaf, etc.. and a really nice atmosphere. In the summer sit outside on the deck.
Service is ok, nothing notable.
As a brewpub it ranks among the best.
