Sampled at Bailey's Taproom on 5/28/09, reviewed from notes, color is golden yellow , ½ inch sticky white head, some retention for a few minutes, nice lacing for its style, aroma had salted crackers, bit of hops, grains, lemons, berries, esters, and mild banana, flavor has some very mellow hops first, then chewy malts in the middle mixed with some spice, finish has more spice and some bananas, citrus and fruit which is mostly oranges comes to the surface once it warms, cloves and honey are also dominant by the end, sweet, spicy, and slightly fruity mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium level of carbonation, taste does not linger long, could drink a fair amount of this, seven percent and hidden well, could get a little sweet eventually, still a nice introduction to Fearless for me, would not mind having again, worth trying

Another new brew found at Bailey's Taproom (Portland). I'd never seen this spring/summer seasonal before; tried on July 3rd, a couple weeks into summer, in a 10 oz. glass.
From the Fearless website:
OG= 1.044 / FG= 1.011 / 32-IBU's / 7% alcohol
A: Glowing golden and almost clear, plenty of tiny rising carbonation. Pour was nearly to the rim of the glass, so there was only a small bit of white sudsy ring and a little swirling film. However, very pretty lace trails in wide bands.
S: Sweet, almost floral nose. Some sugary toffee and a delicate citrus hop. Touch of lager 'metal'.
T: Begins sweet and laden with grain, with a light spicing. It's hard to capture what flavors I'm getting: green grass, clove, toffee, honey, yeast roll. After several seconds, the flavors evolve to a sharper hop bitterness, a little chalky and medicinal.
M: Has a medium body, but seems to thicken as the glass progresses. Heavier syrupy quality isn't too lingering. Despite plenty of visible carbonation, hardly any is felt in the mouth; texture is smooth/even.
D: A likable maibock, good flavors and decent drinkability. This is one of only two Fearless beers I can think of that aren't low/moderate alcohol 'session' beers (the other being their delicious winter seasonal, Strong Scotch Ale). Within that delicate golden color lies a pretty powerful lager; could have had another half pint but opted not to on this occasion. Sure I'd get it again.
