Creamy, light brown head on top of a typical schwarzbier body. Sweet, coffeeish, roasty nose. Sweetness reminded me of of cola. Taste was slightly roasty up front. Tasty juicy malt was not too think. Mouth feel was slick and not too carbonated. All of the beer I've had by these guys have been perfectly carbonated. Bitterness from hops pairs well with the black malt astringency. The beer was a bit thin, but I've found this to be thie the case with the style. With that in mind, it's body was just fine.

bought at the getraenke hoffman in gross borstel. man oh man, that sure is something. it is profoundly sweet, faro, dutch oud bruin lager levels of sweet, some of the black malt flavour, rye bread, tobacco, is nice but there’s definitely some astringent flavours there too. metallic flavour from it, medium bitterness. very much a fizzy drink like mouthfeel. ungood

Sweet for a schwarzbier, leaning more towards a porter (IMHO). Pictch black with a nice topping of beige foam, aroma of coffee, but taste of coffee and molasses. Mouthfeel is righ ton the money, does not feel watery at all, coffee bitterness lingers long aftrwards.

Klosterbrauerei Neuzelle GmbH “ Neuzeller Kloster-Bräu Schwarzer Abt”
,5L brown glass bottle coded “mindestens haltbar bis: 08.03.22”. Sampled 04.10.21.
€,99 @ Horst Lehmann Getränke GmbH, Berlin, DE
Notes: “Zutaten: Schwarzbier (Wasser, Gerstenmalz, Hopfen). Invertzucher-syrup”.
Look: Clear, dark mahogany brown body beneath a finger’s width of creamy tan foam that holds well and leaves some very nice sheets of lacing about the glass.
Smell: Surprisingly chocolate-like and grainy sweet. Coffee-like roastiness. No hops are found.
Taste: As the aroma suggests, this is a sweet beer with clear notes of grainy malt, chocolate, coffee, and a light touch of apple like fruitiness. It appears moderately bitter, but you can detect it. There may be even more bitterness there but the sweetness masks it. It finishes sweet with some cocoa powder lingering.
Feel: Medium-bodied and dextrinous with a gently crisp carbonation.
Overall: If this had been an American beer without the schwarzbier designation I’d say it was OK, or maybe not, but this is a German brewed schwarzbier and it’s way too sweet. It tastes almost like a malzbier. Additionally, it has inverted sugar syrup added, which I thought was verboten im Deutschland, but whatever. It would most likely make a good ingredient in a dessert, and could probably stand on its own as a dessert beer. Other than that, making your way through a half liter is süss for sure.

This beer is a surprise, and not an altogether pleasant one. The beer pours really dark with a light brown head that quickly fades to a ring clinging to the inside of the glass. The lacing is light and delicate. This is probably the most enjoyable part of the beer... Drinking it is most comparable to drinking a flat Pepsi. It's got a flat mouthfeel that leaves a film of sweetness on your tongue so thick it's all you can taste. There is a slight sting in the jaw leading you to think this beer has more character than it does but then it's a bit of a let down that the sweet taste is so overpowering. You can pick up slight roasted tastes and smells, almost nutty with a hint of vanilla and cream. Unfortunately, due to it's overpowering sweetness I would not seek this out again. Auf Weidersehen.

It pours a dark brown body, and thick beige head with good amount of lacing.
It has an aroma of toasted malts, caramel and coffee.
The taste resembles that of alcohol-laced coffee with cream and tons of sugar.
It's way too sweet. I did not like this at all.

L:
-pours a clear ruby-brown with a big,frothy,cream-colured head

-chocolate,coffee,spicy,grainy,grassy,raisins,slight plastic
T:
-Follows the nose + vast amounts of Glucose/Fructose syrup
-sickly sweet

O:
What would be a decent summer Schwarzbier quaffer is absolutely ruined by the addition of Glucose/fructose syrup AFTER fermentation. What remains is a sickly sweet Schwarzbier that i could barely finish.

This schwarzbier pours a black color with a medium foamy white head and a fairly high amount of carbonation. The smell is mild and of grains not really any hint of roastiness. It’s not that strange of a smell for a schwarzbier. There are some grains in the flavor, but they are practically drowned out by what is certainly not a standard schwarzbier taste. There is a sweet, cloying molasses flavor and some notes of really bad chocolate. The finish is a little bit sour actually and the taste unpleasantly lingers in your mouth. The body is medium. There is something undoubtedly wrong with this beer and at first I thought that it must have gone bad. However, upon closer inspection I see that it has a sugar syrup additive and it has gotten similarly abysmal reviews from others. It is probably the worst schwarzbier I have had and it is definitely the worst beer that I have had since I’ve been in Germany though it may still beat out some malt liquors in the US. This is a disgrace.

This is a fairy tale. If it was a sea of beer - I'd like to be a Dolphin beautiful. Not surpassed by the taste. Not surpassed by the flavor. Magic the pleasure of drinking it. And here a little Russian: Fucking cock you interpret it. It's a fucking beer. I am ready to be fucking homeless and living in this town, where one can brew beer. Neitzel forever. Neitzel cool. In Krasnoyarsk there are people, I'm not the only who appreciates this beer. Who would not agree - we can once again be rolled up to Berlin and not only and to leave feedback on your walls.
