Poured from 750mL corked bottle into a tulip. Looking forward to this one.
Appearance: delectable light golden color, slightly opaque, with a brobdingnagian white foamy head which clings on for dear life.
Smell: malt and grain yielding a fresh, floral aroma; at a deeper level there is a nice tart apple smell. Glorious.
Taste: big malt which quickly shows a sweet side and then segues into a tart yet still malty finish. What hop character I can identify is floral and very subtle. Quite good, though a little more tart than I usually find in a strong Belgian pale.
Mouthfeel: bottle fermented awesomeness. I love the creamy, medium-bodied feeling.
Drinkability: incredibly dangerous. Two bottles of this would have me ready to invade Northern California single-handedly.
Serving type: bottle
