Poured a clear gold color into my Duvel tulip with a towering, frothy white head that just wouldn't quit. Impressive carbonation bubbled up from the base of the glass, maintaining the head.
Gorgeous aroma - sweet and spicy, mild yeast smell that was far from overpowering.
Taste was quite unique - my experience with Belgian styles is relatively limited but this was unlike the other Belgian Stronge Pales that I've tried. Very fruity tasting with spicy undertones and again, yeast was very understated.
Overall, perhaps the Belgian style ale that showed me that I could enjoy Belgian styles. I will definitely be experimenting further with this style and well as with Russian River.
