500 mL bottle dated as Batch #058. Website indicates this batch was bottled on 6/14/2010, meaning this beer is a little more than 8 months old. Corked and caged, to be poured into a standard curved-rim pint glass.
A: Pours a light yellow with a hint of gold, with a thick frothy lively head on top. Russian River brews always have impeccable head.
S: Yeasty and spicy, with perhaps a hint of apple.
T: Taste follows the nose. It starts smooth and yeasty, a touch of spice moves in towards the middle, and the spice grows and a hint of apple sneaks in towards the finish.
M: The yeasty bready flavors linger in the mouth after the swallow.
D: Reasonably good. I'm not an avid fan of this style, but this is a pretty good example. Well done by Russian River.
