Poured from a 375ml bottle listed as batch 66 into a tulip glass.

A: Hazy pale golden color with carbonation bubbles rising to meet a thick and creamy looking off-white 1.5 finger head. Very appealing looking.

S: Strong fruity spicy aroma, very pleasant. Banana, strawberry and cloves on the nose. This is just a very pleasing beer.

T: Wonderful fruity taste with a clean malt profile underlying with a clove finish. Same flavors from the nose hit the tongue with a perfect balance and a warming finish.

M: Creamy with light carbonation despite the carbonation bubbles. Goes down very smooth, hard to not drink.

O: Perfect score from me. This beer is not letting me down even in the slightest. If this is what Californians are treated with daily I'm jealous.

Batch #66 written on the label.

A. Dark golden amber in color, murky just like how I like it, a 10-second brief burst of head, no lacing.
S. Its like a sweet wheat malt amplified up to 11 out of 10 with a strong boozey hotness with an oddball unripe strawberry scent laid over the top with a dash of cinnamon and turmeric.
T. Flavor is more clove and wheat-centric, but also has sub-aspects of banana and tropical fruits, only very dry and alcoholic in the finish because of a heavy earthen hop blanketing presence.
M. Light bodied, good carbonation, semi-bubbly.

Overall, this is an excellent example of a domestic Belgian-styled SPA, and to my palate within spitting distance of the genuine article. Given it blind, I might have even mistaken it as having come directly from Belgium.

Completely opaque deep wheat color with a nice bubbly white head that leaves some lacing. Some bubbles coming up the side of the glass. Very pungent wheat scent to it.

Very much a Belgian-style ale. Very strong alcohol taste and wheat. Well carbonated. This beer encroaches on being too over the top with wheat and strength, but doesn't go over the line. Very well done. I can see how it could go wrong if the bottle is not kept in optimal conditions, but when at its best this is a fine offering.

Another RR treat from a great BA andrewk. Went in thinking this was supposed to be a BPA.

Caramel and candy, floral and peach, with some light pure yeasty tart. Luscious sweet.

Thick and full flavored with a flowery sweet swing that carries into some syrupy candi, gets an assist from some estery fruit flavors resembling peach if any actual fruit flavor, sort of lemony as well, with not a lot of bitter on a finish that is heavy malt drips on the palate. Not at all hoppy, its bitter, what little there is, comes at the edge of its tarter aspects. It runs the gamut as it opens up fully from overly syrupy to puckeringly tart, never really getting it near to perfect.

Very viscous and finally overly viscous, too clingy and not clean cling, a bit of cloy and harsh builup. It is silky but the silky doesn't last through as other aspects overshadow it. Really juicy finish.

Had this without reading bottle and thought it was same style, BPA (Abbey style "single"), as Redemption, but this ain't a BPA, comes on like a tripel for sure. As a BPA it's way out of style in many ways, as a Tripel it isn't nearly as good as many others easily available. As a BSPA it is really good, but not great.
