This is a review of Russian River’s Hop 2 It, on-tap at the brewpub in September, 2013.

This pours a golden tan color with one of the most impressive layers of foam I’ve seen on something that’s hoppy.

There’s a light aroma with a touch of lemon and grass.

Flavor is crisply effervescent with a taste of lemon and pine. Drying finish. Enjoyable and easy going. I liked it. (384 characters)

Pitched as Russian River's 'Single Hop Beer', this pale ale boasts a clean, crisp taste that beckons to be an all-day session brew. Entry features a spritz of CO² and a short hop blast in preparation for a wonderfully sweet malty midtaste.

The finish of this light copper beauty is pure, unadulterated Cascade hops, and is as clean as the body of this brew is clear. This is a wonderful offering from Vinnie and his crew...many thanks for the source of some of the cleanest hop burps around... (496 characters)

Fresh growler poured into SN ipa glass.
A: Pours a slightly hazy grapefruit golden color with a huge, thick, and oily off-white head that slowly faded into a rocky film. Thick streaks of sticky lace were left down the glass.
S: A wonderful bouquet of tropical fruits followed by a touch of citrus and a hint of bready malt. I get dominant notes of papaya, mangos, pineapple and grapefruit followed by pineapple and finally bread dough and crackers in the finish. One of the better noses on an pale ale that I’ve smelled.
T: Good ‘ol cascade all the way with dominant notes of citrus. Grapefruit and tangerine come through with hints of pineapple and mango. Bready, slightly leafy, and mildly bitter finish. Very good.
M: Medium-light body, smooth mouthfeel, a bit wet overall, with low and soft carbonation.
O: A very quaffable pale ale. I absolutely loved the smell. I would drink this often if possible. (914 characters)

Poured from a growler into a DFH IPA glass. Filled two days ago at the brewery. Described as a "100% Cascade crossover pale ale."

A: Generous head tops a hazy auburn beer. Very pretty. Nice lacing.

S: Brilliantly fruity with a gentle dose of pine. Mango, tangerine, and a spicy, herbal quality.

T/M/O: It tastes like Fresca! Less so than it did on tap, but it's light, grapefruity, and sparkly on the tongue. Supremely drinkable, pleasant, refreshing, and all-around a good beer. (482 characters)

Part of a sampler at the brewery. No mention of which hop was used for this, so I'm guessing here. This one pours a super light golden with a small white ring of head. Very sweet citrus aroma, raw vegetal hops, grass, interesting. Flavor follows with lots of pine and vegetal hop bitterness, slightly dirty finish, not much sign of citrus here but that's ok. a very light bodied pale ale and medium carbonation. Overall the finish takes away from this, as it is a touch unpleasant. Only OK. (490 characters)
