Batch 11 bottle, shared with fellow beer geek at the "try out till we blacked out" tasting. Thanks to Morningstorm for the share!
A: Clear light yellow color, yeast sediment looks like lemon juice. Looks like any old Belgian ale.
S: Pilsner malt is most prominent, with some very obvious Belgian yeast. Supporting bitterness from the Saaz.
T: Mostly pilsner malt with a hoppy finish. A vague hint of bretts acidity. Very mellow and extremely balanced. In no way overpowering.
M: Medium heavy carbonation. Lots of burps. It's a manly beer that way!
O: The thing about this style is that it's never going to set the world on fire for me. I do think, however, this is as good as a Belgian blonde ale is going to get for me before venturing too far into either the IPA or the sour side of things. The balance in this brew is amazing, with little hints of everything. Interesting stuff, highly recommended.
