750mL bottle straight from the source, Russian River Brewing in Santa Rosa, CA. This particular bottle is label batch #4.
A: Pours effortlessly a golden/yellow color with clear presentation. A thick two finger, pearl white head appeared and slowly disappears into a blotchy, glass-lacing pattern.
S: Sweet flora aroma with a barnyard hay/grass note. Very aromatic.
T: Carried over from the nose is the presence of hay/grass, but with more of a dusty taste. Seems like this beer was out in the field with you while you work. Taste reminds me of a light lager, but much more highly carbonated.
M: Dry like champagne. Above average carbonation. A lingering bitterness makes itself known.
D: Tasty, but less than I expected. I wonder how this bottle would change with more days/weeks/months/years cellared.
