Corked 375ml bottle from Tim. Batch 10-- Bottled 4/20/2011 according to the website.
Appearance: Hazy pale yellow. Thinnish white head, not too much retention. Some pretty nice sticky lacing.
Smell: Fruity with some pear, grape, banana. A little spicy- clove. Little bit of yeasty funk.
Taste: Quite unlike the smell. There is some light fruit, but there's really quite a bit of musty, powdery yeast, clove, and pepper. A bit of grass and earth with slight bitterness in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Softly carbonated, light and crisp, with a clean, dry finish.
Overall: This is a very different kind of beer. For all I know, this is what a singel tastes like. Its quite unlike an ordinary Belgian pale ale. Interesting yeast notes with lightly sweetened light fruits and a clean finish.
