This beer pours a dark amber color with an off-white head that leaves some good lacing.
The aroma is of sweet malt, caramel, candi sugar, alcohol, and mild hop aroma.
The flavor is malty sweet at first with some caramel and darker fruit and then at the end it seems like there are some hops that reveal themselves and leaves you feeling like you just drank two different beers at once. I thought it was a good beer but I drank it after a Brausserie de Rocs Triple Imperiale so it had some big shoes to fill.
The mouthfeel was full bodied with moderate carbonation.
I thought this was pretty drinkable and worth recommending.
