Oh, how i love RR brews...and bier d'e Gardes! Put them together and you get the zen of beers. This low abv brew is a perfect pair to their pizzas, with layers of fruit and spice...subtle and never overpowering. A fairly dark amber with just a bit of haze. I'm guessing from other reviews that the bottled version has lots of suspended sediment. Not here.
Theres some funky belgian yeast in here, but not as pominent as other RR's. Spices and fruit (cardamon, carrot cake, pear, clove) are big. Light cookie-dough or pancake batter malt characteristics.
I downright love this style, which is hard to find but sooo good. This is one of the better!
