Opens with a formidable pop. Pours brilliant gold with a finger of head which settles to a thin foam cap.
Aroma is hops and funk, pineapple, and huge amounts of tangy citrus
Taste is tart, citrusy, hoppy, very light funk, with that classic RR musty cellar Brett aftertaste. Lemony, grassy hay. Delicate malt comes forward as it warms, with a dry, crackery finish.
Mouthfeel is slightly slick with moderate carbonation.
This is an easy to drink beer, not wildly complex (yet, hopefully!), very delicious. Here's hoping it can develop in the bottle from a good beer to a great beer.
