Sampled at the 9th Annual Double IPA Festival at the Bistro in Hayward.
A - The beer poured a copper color. I had the beer in a festival tasting glass so not much to talk about in terms of head and lacing.
S - Pine, grapefruit, citrus, floral. Everything you'd expect from Vinnie.
T - An explosion of hops, but also surprisingly malty. For such a big beer, it's not at all hot.
M - Fairly viscous, but incredibly balanced for such an aggressive beer.
D - I could have pint after pint but I'd be drunk as a skunk before I knew it.
I'm glad I got to try it. I'd like to drink it again, although I'm not going to go to great lengths to get it. Inevitably, this one is going to be compared to the Elder, and I have to side with the old guy.
Serving type: on-tap
