On draft at Freshcraft in Denver
Pours a clear brown body, 1/2 inch off white head. Lacing and head retention were good.
Smell is of very light vinegar but dominated by tart fruit like cherry and kumquat. There is also some oak at the end.
Taste is of straw malt mixed with sour apples. Sour pickle brine is also present along with some puckering tannins you'd get from a dry chardonnay. No hops or alcohol was detected.
Mouthfeel is light, puckering and finishes dry. Carbonation is perfect but the head was only semi present.
Overall this was a good refreshing beer. Would love to have this in the mountains on a spring day. Not too much into the particular style but would definitely buy another bottle whenever it rarely pops up.

Ruby red over brownish hues with a tan head that goes quickly. Minimal lacing with big sediment at the bottom. Tart cherries, Pinot noir wine and oak notes in the nose. Big tart cherry flavor supported by wine like qualities cloaked in oaky notes in the background. Tartness is cut toward the end by the malt backbone, making it sour and funky but reeling it in before it gets too far out of line. Puckering and tart with vibrant carbonation and a bone dry finish. A sipper for sure and a fantastically different beer.

On tap at the RR Brewpub.
A: deep orange-amber; clear; Large creamy bone-colored head is fairly furable and leaves some lacing.
Aroma: about as good as this style gets (for me).
Flavor: excellent very tart and fruity flaovr. Rather subtle effects from the pinot noir barrel aging, especially in terms of woodiness. Excellent lingering, midly tart aftertaste.
FeeL; smooth; medium-light body; good low carbonation; near puckering tartness.
