Full Belgian Tulip
A: Dark amber body with some pinkish orange and brown tint on it. Very hazed look to it. Half finger of egg shell cream runs across the top with fair retention efforts and some light dotting of lacework running down the glass.
S: The nose is vinous with some sour cherry tartness, light vinegar, and a touch of acetone. I get lots of musky old grape skin in this one with some mineral like qualities to it. Smells nicely sweet and sour.
T: Flavors are choke cherry with some cider vinegar, sour red grape, and light acetone. Slightly funky with a healthy pucker from some citric acidity. Further there lies some dark bready malt with a lemony lacto tartness and a dash of green hop bitterness in the background. Closes with a kick of alcohol spice, woody tannin, and a dry tart finish. Great balance and loads of complexity.
M: Moderately filling with a good tart pucker to the palate. Fairly clean and balanced with some light alcohol warmth. Finishes dry and tart.
D: Exemplary to the style with layers of great flavor going on and a very controlled amount of funkiness. RRBC has such great balance in their brews while still delivering brilliant flavors. I found the Consecration to be a bit bolder but I can see Supp as much easier to drink and therefore held in higher regard. Surely recommended for those looking for a great Wild.

Poured into a snifter.
A: translucent reddish golden brown with almost no head.
S: heavy smell of tart cherries with a faint wine aroma.
T: great cherry sour flavor, ends with the pinot noir aftertaste. Very similar to the aroma.
M: Very light, but in a good way. The feel is sour at first, but the finish is very smooth and the sourness fades quickly.
O: Amazing beer, love the cherry and Pinot flavors.

Appearance is a red orange and clear with little head.
aroma is amazing. Oak barrel funk. Wet hay. Damp barn.
taste follows with wet funk and oak. Sour punch in the face then is dissappears.
Such a solid beer. The barrel aging puts this on another level.
mouthfeel is crisp and we'll carbonated but not too much.
I need more of this.
