New batch labeling - just a date, 6/22/12.
A - Head of about a finger quickly dissolves to nothing. Thought I saw a nice light reddish brown color before it went away. Body is very clear and a dark apple juice color. Slight reddishness to it.
S - It has that absolute tart aroma to it, but you can tell there is something in there to balance it out. Apples, cherries, and grapefruit. Tartness of a lemon. Only a slight funkiness to it.
T - Just about the same as the nose except maybe a little more funk. It's all the mostly balanced beer I have had though. Just the right amount of sour and sweet and funk to be wonderful. Again some nice red apple, raspberry, and lime/lime rind.
M - Very drying, light bodied and nice carbonation. Probably my one complaint about this beer.
O - A delight to drink, just a little on the pricey side.

Wow! What an incredible beer. It's got some serious sour power. The pinot characteristics are very prominent - it's almost like a sparkling pinot noir. It pours a lighter reddish brown color, though, so I guess maybe not "almost like," but in some regards sure.
Anyway, you got that wine smell/taste with some tart cherries and oak flavor. It's phenominal and wholly unique. You'll be hard pressed to find a better sour.

On tap at the source
Look: Pours a reddish brown color with a 1/4 inch off white head and ok retention some spotty lace
Smell: Tart cherries sour apples vinegar and a bit of oak
Taste: The flavor is far more balanced than I expected it to be. The beer starts off with sour cherries with some slight funk. This is followed up by a touch of sour apples and vinegar.
Mouthfeel: Just under medium body fair amount of carbonation light and crisp and tingly
Overall: A pretty good wild ale I would drink this again if someone gave it to mel
