I was lucky enough to find this while on a day trip to Pennsylvania. We don't get the amazing offerings from Russian River in New Jersey. So, I have to find it in Pennsylvania or from friends and family visiting from California.
My review is from batch 007... look at that... drinking James Bond beer!
I poured Supplication into a snifter to hold in the great smell coming off the beer. Speaking of, this beer smells amazing. You get a great dose of sour coming off the top. There is also a decent amount of cherry.
Supplication looks pretty good. The foam is minimal, as expected for an aged beer (this one is almost five years!). There is also some pretty good alcohol legs on the glass.
The flavor is very vibrant. You really have to sip this because a mouthfull is just too strong. This is a great example of a sour. You can get the cherry, yeast, and pinot noir in the glass. I also like the way it tingles a little in the mouth.
This is a very good beer. I wish I didn't have to go so far out of my way to get the greatness coming from Russian River.

I had this on tap at the brewpub. This may just be my favorite RR sour. It's got a big sour bite but a rich flavor that goes beyond that. The fruity and woody notes help make every sip as interesting as the last. I just can't get enough of this one.

375ml corked and caged bottle poured into tulip 17/4/12 batch 007 even James Bond would put down the shaker for a glass of this one
A great dark reddish amber with so many bubbles I can't tell if there going up or down, this one is very much alive, two fingers of light tan head hold on for a little while stopping at a well retained thin film that doesn't allow you to see the liquid, just a few random dots of lace
S right out of the bottle as I pour I get some woody vinous notes, the funk is mild and blends in perfectly with the oak and some sour strawberry and cherry, there's a little vinegar and cider notes but everything just blends together so well after a few minuets I struggle to pin point anything it all just meshes together, what amazing stuff
T it mimics the smell very well thankfully, one second I'm getting some oaked vinous notes, then it morphs to sour cherry and the next sip the funk comes out to play, just wonderful stuff
M sour but not turning my mouth inside out, plenty of pin prick bubbles no doubt about that, leaves the mouth a little slick, and a little cherry vinegar lingers
O an epiphany in a glass of beer? this one's an eye opener for me, what else in life have I been missing out on?
This ones changed the way I look at sours, such a well made brew, many things needed to happen in just the right proportion and order to make this what it is. On top of that it also needed to be well packaged and sent to me by the most generous and awesome Rutager
