Bottled on 8/23/11, drank on 8/29/11. Bought cold with no hotel fridge, so best to crack it fresh.
A - Golden, orange hue with a nice frothy white head that quickly disapates after my first sip. Probably the dirty hotel glass.
S - Smells of freshly cut grass, herbs, garlic greens, fruity esters. Intriguing mix of scents that make you wonder, but draw you in.
T - Tropical fruit mixed with that herbal, medicinal, garlic induced kiss again - and you kind of can't decide if you like it, but you keep going back for more. Biscuity malt playing second fiddle.
M - The bitterness is there, but it's smooth, soft on the palate and pleasantly carbonated. Welcomed bitterness glides easily across the tongue.
D - A fantastic, tasty IPA, no doubt about it. I'm noticing a trend of the garlic-kiss in many uber-popular IPAs I've been able to try only recently (e.g. Devil Dancer, Gubna, Pliny The Elder, Ruination...).

Acquired from smanrob in a trade. A great trader!
Appearnce - It looks like an IPA should, a light copper color with a white head. Lacing was noted around the glass.
Smell - Pine was noted as the dominant part of the aroma. It was not a dominant aroma, but it left a mark.
Taste - I read in a thread that Blind Pig and Pliny are like licking a pine cone. So I will get that impression to the front and suggest pine is the dominant initial taste. It is not overly bitter. Orange rind and the sourness of grapefruit are also very present. Toward the back, the taste fades quite a bit. That is my greatest disappointed.
Mouthfeel - Lightly carbonated and fairly smooth, this one goes down easy.
Overall - This is not my favorite style but I can certainly appreciate a well crafted beer.
