Big fluffy white head. Slightly hazy, translucent brew: gold and orange straw that easily lets through light sources, shifting its appearance constantly. Lively and bubbly. Excellent head retention and excellent lacing.
Big grapefruit and pine notes, with a hint of dank cat musk, tropical fruit, and lemon. Malt presence is tricky to pick out behind all the up-front hops, but it's mostly pale biscuit and floral/honey in the background.
Flavor is less bitter and brightly hoppy than the aroma indicates; much more mellow. Pine and pale malts up front, with a huge dose of Mosaic fruit and dankness on the back end. Crisp and clean.
Bright, light-bodied (but plenty of flavor), semi-dry finish with long-lasting hops on the palate. Very drinkable.
This is a solid IPA. I don't feel it lives up to its big cousin, PtE, at all - but then, it's lighter and lower ABV, so it occupies a different beer niche. It's closer to the hoppy APAs so many companies are putting out now. Enjoy this with lunch or on a warm day.

Poured a clear yellow. The head had great retention and left a decent lacing.
Aroma was very floral and a slight note of orange peel and grains of paradise.
Mouth feel was a little thin but the flavor is very bold. The flavor was piney, grassy with hints of black pepper and straw or hay.
This beer finishes very long and leaves a resin feel on the tongue, with notes of orange pith and kiwi rind.
