HUGE thanks to glazeman for this one. Bottled on 6/7/10 - nice and fresh.
A - Beautiful looking IPA - hazy copper with a one finger head with nice retention and decent legs. Looked very similar to Pliny the Elder.
S - Citrus hops up front, followed by piney hops. The best part of the aroma was the sweet malt backbone that followed the scent of the tropical fruit and piney hops.
T - Outstanding. In my opinion, this one is better than Pliny the Elder. The taste is very similar to the smell, except that the malt backbone in the finish is slightly less pronounced in the taste than it is in the aroma. The hop layers in Blind Pig are out of this world - oranges, tangerines, mango, and lemons followed by intense Christmas trees. Just wonderful.
M - Pretty good. A bit under-carbonated for a regular IPA, but still a great mouthfeel.
D - Very drinkable. As this one warmed up a bit, the layers of hops became even more pronounced and kept me wanting more. One bottle is surely not enough.

Appearance: Poured a darker shade of gold, almost amber. Had a very small head that was gone within minutes.
Aroma: Had a very hoppy aroma which was very pleasant. The hops gave off nice aromas of both citrus and pine.
Taste: The flavor was what you would expect from a west coast style IPA, full of citrus notes and some good hop bitterness that lingered a bit on the tongue. A nice subtle malt backbone added to flavor of this delicious IPA.
Mouthfeel: Nice full-bodied beer that had a nice amount to of hop bitterness lingering on the tongue. Had a nice dry and bitter finish.
Overall: A great example of a west coast style IPA. Loved the citrus and pine aromas as well as the citrus and malt backbone in the taste. Easy drinking IPA as it does not have an overwhelming amount of hop bitterness but enough to taste and appreciate the hops. Very good brew.
