Poured into my modern Stone Old Guardian goblet.
Beautiful golden orange color, nice fluffy white head. Sticky, industrial strength lacing. A really beautiful beer. I love taking a sip and watching the lacing rebuild and slowly slide down the glass. Some of it just stays. Looks like it would dry there.
Smells really good. Fragrant, citrusy bitterness. Grapefruit and some mild floral undertones.
Dominant grapefruit with the rind thrown in. Mild sweetness, but lots of bitterness throughout - from start to finish it's grapefruit rind. The malty sweetness is there, but gets overpowered.
Soft mouthfeel, but reasonably carbonated. Nice balance here.
Overall, a very nice IPA. It's more hop-forward - the sweetness really takes a back seat. Not sure the balance is quite where I would want it to be after being spoiled by some world class DIPAs, but a very solid, solid IPA.

Acquired from smanrob in a trade. A great trader!
Appearnce - It looks like an IPA should, a light copper color with a white head. Lacing was noted around the glass.
Smell - Pine was noted as the dominant part of the aroma. It was not a dominant aroma, but it left a mark.
Taste - I read in a thread that Blind Pig and Pliny are like licking a pine cone. So I will get that impression to the front and suggest pine is the dominant initial taste. It is not overly bitter. Orange rind and the sourness of grapefruit are also very present. Toward the back, the taste fades quite a bit. That is my greatest disappointed.
Mouthfeel - Lightly carbonated and fairly smooth, this one goes down easy.
Overall - This is not my favorite style but I can certainly appreciate a well crafted beer.
