The 500 ml bottle is very cool. The label is very cool
I noticed a significant amount of sediment in the bottom of the bottle before I opened it and it was very easily agitated. For this reason, I poured this very slowly. I poured a little more aggressively when the Stone Levitation stemmed glass was ¾ quarters full. The liquid was a bright, crystal clear, straw color with a copper hue when held to the light. It was topped with a bright white tight foam. The head receded slowly but consistently to a beautiful lace, tall collar and splotchy, bubbly coat.
The aroma is outrageous. It begins with incredible amounts of pine and citrus hops. The citrus becomes very complex as you take it in deeper. Tangerine, navel orange, ruby red grapefruit. A bit of biscuit comes through in the aroma as well.
The initial flavor rush is a very pungent pine hops with a strong, sharp, brash bitterness that pushes through into the middle. The middle then brings some biscuit and caramel malt sweetness. This is quickly pushed aside by the hops, which come through with a more pine and some citrus. The citrus is mostly grapefruit and grapefruit pith here, not as complex as the aroma. The finish is a long pasting bitterness.
A medium to light body is back up by a vibrant and tingly carbonation. The liquid wets the palate quite a bit, to the point of feeling slightly watery at times.
This is a very good IPA. I could have several. The sharpness of the bitterness would make me look to something else.

Appearance: Poured a darker shade of gold, almost amber. Had a very small head that was gone within minutes.
Aroma: Had a very hoppy aroma which was very pleasant. The hops gave off nice aromas of both citrus and pine.
Taste: The flavor was what you would expect from a west coast style IPA, full of citrus notes and some good hop bitterness that lingered a bit on the tongue. A nice subtle malt backbone added to flavor of this delicious IPA.
Mouthfeel: Nice full-bodied beer that had a nice amount to of hop bitterness lingering on the tongue. Had a nice dry and bitter finish.
Overall: A great example of a west coast style IPA. Loved the citrus and pine aromas as well as the citrus and malt backbone in the taste. Easy drinking IPA as it does not have an overwhelming amount of hop bitterness but enough to taste and appreciate the hops. Very good brew.
