Easter gift from my Sister visiting from San Diego..
Poured nicely. Color is orange with some brownish hues. White head.
All I get from the aroma is hops. Both citrusy and floral. Very pleasant on the nose. Really makes me want to drink it, but smells so good I inhale through the nose with each sip.
As the nose would suggest, the taste is very hop dominated, but somehow the bitterness seems to be a little subdued. You know its there, but it's not destroy your palate bitter like the nose leads you to believe. Very nicely balanced with the malts.
I really enjoyed this one. Hope my Sister will ship more when she gets home.

on tap at Interurban, Portland
Mad off-white lace over pale amber.
Mint leaf and lemon zest on the nose.
Light caramel and toast, some orchard fruits (yellow plum, peach) then light pine, citrus, and resin in perfect ratio.
Tangerine skin end and children’s aspirin linger.
Light to slightly medium, oily, a bit of chew.
Balanced like a katana. So light, crisp, round and just the right amount of hoppy. Deserves its legendary status.
