Pale/IPA totally reminiscent of za Plinys and RR's IPA. Rich orange mostly clear body and a frosted haze top. Chock full of weedy dry hops (I assume these are of a noble variety) that dominate the palate and dry out the throat in a full after. Some sweetness present that is quickly eaten up by the bubbles and hops. Creamy excellent feel in the mouth -- dry and explosively soft carbonation. Grainy malts poke out of the hop scorched body and add to the body.

On tap at Russian River. Poured into a RR Belgian tulip. Not sure what version this should be classified with. It is simply listed as Noble Experiment on the RR chalkboard. This is described as a Belgian Pale Ale. Comes in at an OG of 1.053, 5.71%, and 28 IBUs.

A-Pours a really hazy yellow/brown color. It has an off white head this isn't very large due to a full pour. The head does do a good job of sticking around. Some nice lace is left.

S-Lots of Belgian yeast and earthy hops. There are touches of fruit, primarily lemon and apple.

T-It has lots of Belgian yeast flavor combined with a touch of apple. There is some tart lemon tang that is noticeable in the back. There are also touches of barnyard funk. The grain used leaves a little bit of coarseness that I usually associate with roasted malt.

M-On the lighter end of the medium spectrum. The carbonation is fine.

D-A thirst quenching beer. Really good.

I enjoyed this one a lot. I wouldn't mind seeing this one join the rotation. Lots of flavor and it has a relatively low abv.

Pours a bright gold in color with simply superb clarity and crowned with a full finger of arctic-white dense foam. Atoma is floral, piney, and somewhat subdued when compared to RR's other offerings...but spot on for an American Pale Ale.

Entry is refreshing with adequate carbonation gently caressing the tongue. Midtaste is a wondrous hop / malt combo seemingly hovering just above the tongue. The finish is a beautiful slow hop fade complimenting the supple mouthfeel.

All in all...a rock solid Pale Ale with unlimited quaffability.
