Brown in color, Benediction has notes aromas and flavors of chocolate, tobacco, and spice. The finish is mildly malty with just enough bitterness from the hops.

July 27th, 2015 - Good heavens, I'm finally in the last stretch of this taster olympiad, coming in third to last with the Benediction. From the start I can tell this is going to be a highlight, with a smell of pie crust, cinnamon, fig, berries and a genuine homemade touch that makes me pine for home baked goods. The flavor is a little less vibrant, giving off more notes of dark cherry and freshly squashed dark fruits like fig. It is rich but good, and lingers long in the aftertaste.

Taster at brewery. Hazy copper color, creamy head, lacing in spades. Soft aroma, pit fruit, plums. Taste is malty, dry, leather. Initial sweetness fades to musty. Dry, chalky finish.
