Poured into a SN Tulip Glass.
Appearance had a thin head that faded real quick down to nothing. No lacing either. Clear, ruby colored body.
Smell was of cherries, currants, slight oakiness and a nice Brett/Wild yeast funkiness.
Taste was amazing. Tart cherries and currant and a nice hint, but smoothing effect of barrel aging. A nice mellow funk/sourness from the Brett/Wild Yeasts. Smooth oakiness from the Cab barrels, alos lend a nice hint of tannins. Lots of tart, dark fruit flavors. Great sourness without being overpowering. More flavorful and complex as it warms up. A very slight sweetness shows in the middle of the drink.
Mouthfeel was of a medium body, well carbonated and crisp finish. Slight dryness.
Drinkability was good even though it is a sour. Very easy to drink and the flavors blend nicely, more-so as it warms up. Doesn't even hint at 10%.
This is by far one of my favorite sours as for as drinkability and flavor goes.

Like Supplication on steroids, you get flavors of cherries, oak, chocolate, cognac and sour citrus with a deep, caramelly malt backdrop. Appearance is a deep, dark amber with almost no light penetration or head. Thick, chewy mouthfeel and a deep, vinous smell. Worth over penny. A perfect beer.
